How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

A larger fridge in the room would be better.
Was clean and quiet. Air conditioning worked well and check in and out so easy. Easy walk ( 20-25 mins) to old town. Helpful online assistance if needed. Highly recommended stay.

We had a very small problem with the access code only for opening the door room, we had to enter the code three times before it opened.
We liked that it was very clean and perfect location if you come by train. Easy to check-in and out.

A few days before arrival, there was hacking of the hotel's system and my personal details were stolen, resulting in almost phishing my bank account details. Will ask for compensation through Booking.com
The hotel was spotless clean, fully equipped and very well design.

It was a bit of a walk to the centre of town - the area is lovely and quiet but also slightly removed from the main attractions.
Generously sized room, clean and quiet. Self check in process went smoothly and ordering breakfast each morning was easy.

The location is next to the train station and for the super light sleepers is not a good place. The fridge didn’t work sufficiently.

I understand it is the concept but having no staff on site, feels a bit weird. Not sure it is the kind a place I would go again.

My friend and I were thoroughly impressed with the property, the room was modern, spacious and clean. Coffee pod machine, water, milk capsules and tea all provided. The microwave was also a pleasant surprise. The ability to still access the downstairs luggage storage/lockers until 8pm of the day we checked out was incredibly useful! It was a 20 minute walk to the old town and around 15 minutes walk to the main train station. We are recommending this place to any we know who is travelling to Salzburg.

We had some problems with using the tv, but to be fair support was quick to resolve this issue.

The area the hotel is in is very quiet and about 30 minutes walk from the centre. There are buses though. No cafes in the vicinity really.
This was a great hotel and definitely good value for money. The room felt safe and comfortable and was a great base to explore Salzburg.

The room was cosy and clean. Bed was big and comfy too. No problem check-in. The are lockers to leave the suitcases. 20 mins waking to Mirabel garden.

All excellent ... nothing to dislike.
Really modern, clean and spacious. The bed was large and extremely comfortable and the air conditioning was ideal for the hot weather. We like strong coffee and there was even a facilty to collect extra coffee pods.

New apartments with full self electronic check in/out, no staff. Easy to use. Room was good size with kitchenette and microwave. Comfy bed and pillows. 15-20 min walk to main train station through quiet suburb. Easy 20 min walk to old city.

The location wasn't lovely, but not a big issue for us.
The process for the guest is really well thought through. We were given information about storing luggage right when I was thinking about it, then informed that our room was ready to check in early which made our trip much more comfortable and simple. There were even umbrellas to hire by the door. Every detail seemed to have been given careful thought.

The Wifi seemed to drop in and out meaning the TV kept turning off when streaming
