Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SerbiaThe beds could be a bit more comfortable, and the curtains could block out the light more effectively.
A very clean hotel near Westbahnhof and Mariahilferstraße. Although it’s close to the center, the neighborhood is very quiet. There is the option to park your car in their garage. Strong internet signal. Extremely friendly staff available 24 hours.

GermanyWifi did not really work in the apartment and I had almost no phone signal as the apartment was in the back of the building, in the inner courtyard. I could not have worked remotely from the apartment.
I had a great room, a split level apartment. Very comfortable. Very clean. Excellent kitchen area, although I did not use it much myself, you could really comfortably self cater here. Just lovely. A pleasant 1/2 hour walk into the centre of town, down the main shopping street. Public transport option close by. Plenty of restaurants, cafes, take-aways and grocery shops withing short walking distance. Great location.

HungaryOnly small things but they make the stay a bit uncomfortable:(the place is still faboluous) - the bed is not the most comfortable - there should be a curtain that makes complete dark on case someone wants to sleep longer or during the day - there is nothing that blocks mosquitos gettimg in the room, which is annoying
- very nice staff starting with the receptionists with the cleaning ladies everyone was very polite and kind - very clean venue and roon - great location, Westbanhof is jut a nice walk away

SingaporeSound seems to travel very easily so it's possible to be woken up by voices/birdsong earlier than you intended.
The price was very reasonable given the location and the quality of the room. The bed was comfortable, the staff were polite and helpful. They only provide 3-1 hand, body and hair wash, so it is best to bring your own toiletries if you prefer otherwise. Toothbrush and toothpaste is not provided; you should bring your own, or it can be purchased from the vending machine downstairs. This doesn't affect my ranking of my stay, but it's something to be aware of.

Czech RepublicThe area on the other side of the rail tracks (those leading to the Westbanhoff) is quite with a sense of a ghetto, but the area where the hotel situated is not. No elevator, but you know what you sign to.
Basic, but clean and not far from the metro (12-17 min walking). Expect planes landing above the neighborhood one after another during the day (you won’t hear trains, though). No elevator, but walking up to the 3rd floor can double as cardio. Eggs at breakfast cost an extra €1, and juice is €1.50. Interestingly, the actual price for breakfast was lower than what was listed on Booking.com – €8.50 vs €10. Street parking is usually available during the day (max 2 hours on workdays, paid), private is like 15€/day or even cheaper, whish is not bad for the district. We stayed during weekend and a public holiday, so the street parking was free of charge, but be aware of designated residential parking zones where you can’t park, even on weekends and holidays. It's clearly marked with the relevant signs. Keep that in mind! Good place compared to what you’ll find near the main railroad hubs in other European capitals. Though the Westbanhoff is not a hub really )

RomaniaThe room was large and clean. For us it was in a great location. Close to public transportation and with metro, you can reach any part of the city in a few minutes. Also very close there is a restaurant/bar with very good craft beer and good food. The breakfast was relatively poor, but also the price is not very high and everything was tasty. You have to pay separately for the eggs and orange juice. If I go back to Vienna, I will stay at the same hotel.

LatviaMy stay was a bit unusual, and while the hotel itself was entirely as described and perfectly fine, a few logistical issues left me feeling a bit flustered. I had to check out before 7 a.m., ahead of staff arrival, and mistakenly took the keys with me. I offered to mail them back, but as I was told over the phone, another guest was arriving that same day, so they suggested using a taxi to return the keys. This cost around €60—the full fare of a shuttle from Vienna Airport to a centrally located hotels of choice. For reference, I used public transportation both ways out of economy, so this was a pricey lesson, but it was my oversight, and the staff handled it fairly. Upon arrival, there was no staff present—a contrast to the reviews I’d read highlighting friendly service. However, this was understandable: this is a family-run hotel and they faced a bereavement; it turned out that at the time of my arrival they were attending a funeral. The kitchen lady kindly guided me through the key code system, which was thoughtfully prepared ahead, but I had missed it (again - my bad only!) in my emails. The hotel accepts credit cards. Although for breakfast they asked me to pay in cash; bit of inconvenience to take it out and get it to the hotel before they leave at 3 o'clock. Minor things anyhow. I’d suggest those staying longer try breakfast for a day before deciding whether to pay for the breakfasts for the entire stay, as there are nearby options. The breakfast is adequate, but eggs are not included in the base price and come at an additional cost—something to be aware of. When in doubt, the staff will happily explain these details. In sum, this budget-oriented hotel is a respectable, well-maintained establishment, and the family is clearly dedicated to their guests. My experience was simply a mismatch of needs and circumstances. Future guests should find it well-suited, especially if they confirm check-out arrangements when leaving early.
The hotel offers exactly what you see before booking, and I found the accurate description refreshing. The rooms are compact but impeccably maintained, and the bed was quite comfortable, with an extra blanket thoughtfully provided. Towels and bed linens were perfectly fine—indeed, better than expected for this level of accommodation. The place is kept tidy, and the effort in maintaining a clean, welcoming atmosphere is commendable. Please note that there may not be an elevator (at least not in the part I stayed in; which was not a problem for me - not in the least), so if stairs are a concern, I would recommend contacting the staff to request a room on a lower floor or inquire about wings with elevator access.

IrelandThere was no kettle and teabags in my room, but there was a vending machine in the hall, providing, amongst other things, a cup of hot water.
This is a nicely refurbished, clean and comfortable accommodation, with super helpful staff, a great value for money! My room was quite spacious, and consisted of a separate entrance area with a built-in wardrobe & safe box, a mirror and coat hanger, and a separate bathroom and toilet. The entrance area was separated from the actual room by a second door, which was a huge plus.
