How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Owners/caretakers are not always on location. Therefore, leaving luggage on the day of departure is difficult as in the afternoon and evening, there is no one to answer the door.

Cons: - vending machine with drinks and snacks accepts only coins: no card payment; - there are no power socket near the bed
The room was clean and had everything I needed. The staff was friendly and let me store my bag for a couple of hours after the check-out. Overall I am satisfied with my stay.

The only thing that bothered us was a smell of humidity, but the reception guy handled it immediately as we informed him, he was really willing and helpful, changed a filter and the smell was better.
Location was excellent, the staff was really kind, the room was spacefull and clean.

Nothing that I can think of
Location is very close to the city centre in a quiet street. Staff were excellent & very helpful. The room was clean and well maintained. Close to lots of restaurants and cafes

Everything was fine.
Good location. Easy access. Quite a lot of cafés and restaurants nearby. A very friendly and helpful receptionist. The room was spotless.

We like the spacious & high ceiling room with the basic facilities even without ac & fan at 30 degree celsius it feels fine. However, could had been better if with small refrigerator. The daily room cleaning and Mr. Andy (host) assistance is remarkable. The area is 10 mins. away by walk to Schotentor Metro Station Purple Line (U2) to connect to U1 as the main line.

The beds aren’t comfortable,they were sunk down, The shower wasn’t that safe,you need to be extra careful so you wont slip.
Very clean , the owner was so nice and caring The location is great,close to the train stations And from there you can get anywhere easily

Woke up early to construction noise across the street.
Easy to get to with clear directions from host. Great location to walk everywhere. Many goo's places to eat nearby.

The entrance door is not really soundproof, therefore, it can be a bit annoying to here people passing by through the corridor and here all of these. Luckily, for me that was not big of a deal but this can definitely be improved :)
The room was very clean! The staff was friendly and I could leave my luggage there earlier than the official check-in time. The location is just great!

Room was a bit too warm but managed to get the window open which helped greatly. Basic accomodation but quiet and comfy bed. Slept well
Great and quiet location away from the crowds but very central. Great restaurant down the road called Gasthouse repuhn. Near plenty cafes. The man on reception was very helpful.

Pillows, but that is a problem even for five star hotels. A pillow should be small and hard in order to be comfortable.
Great location and good value for money. Friendly staff. Facilities a bit old, but clean. The mattress was surprisingly comfortable.

It is very cold in the bathroom, there is no heating. The temperature in the room is lower than in the hallway. The windows overlook the wall of the neighboring building. It is dark in the room.

The water pressure was not great....for the pressure to be average then the water was burning hot. It would have been nice to have an extra pillow in the room. The location of the outlets for charging devices are not ideal.
The hotel has a great location. It is close to public transport options and walking distance to a lot of sights. The room was big, enough storage for our belongings, and the staff were very helpful.
