We stayed at this guesthouse in Melk and I must say that the difference was made by Jozef, the waiter who served us. Thanks to his inspired recommendations, we discovered the authentic taste of the local cuisine – exactly what we were looking for. His communication was excellent, always attentive and kind, and he made us come back the next day. His hospitality turned a simple dinner into a memorable experience.

Loved being in Old Town near the abbey. We rented ebikes & rode to Krem. Convenient to the bike path.

The location was exceptional. The rooms were very clean. Breakfast was nice. Storage for our bikes.

The restaurant was a little expensive for us. It was a little difficult to identify the hotel. You have to checking through the Cafe.

An amazing historic building right in the old town with a view to the abbey - simply wonderful.

We loved the location – right in the charming old town, just a short walk to the Abbey and about 15 minutes to the Danube. The area is beautiful and peaceful, with plenty of nice cafés and restaurants nearby. The breakfast was excellent, and the staff even prepared gluten-free rolls for us. The restaurant food was also fantastic, and the service friendly and accommodating.

Our room faced the inner courtyard, which we hadn’t expected. One mattress sagged noticeably in the middle, causing some back discomfort. There was no air conditioning, and without a mosquito net we couldn’t keep the windows open, which made the room quite warm in the summer heat.

A small thing, but we thought it was Ann: the bed frame was VERY creaky, even when we just turned to our other side, it was like it wanted to fall apart. Not the best experience waking up to this multiple times during the night 😅

A bit warm in summer.

The apartment was huge. There was a lot of space. The beds were good, shower and bathroom were clean, the kitchen was nice etc. The view was nice. You ser the garden of the restaurant which is cozy, but more inportantly you see the ‘Stift Melk’ from your apartement.

We had a lovely 2 bedroom apartment, which is in a detached building behind the Rathauskeller, with a private parking lot between the 2 buildings. The apartment was clean, spacious, well-equipped, the WiFi worked well, the location was excellent right in the centre of Melk.

No aircon and we were there on a very hot day but there is a large window and the fan is strong.

Excellent location on the main square and at the foot of the Abby. The Abby is about 5-10 minuets up a side street that has many steps, but not steep. The hotel is also about 15 minuet easy walk to the river cruise station for the Danube cruises. The hotel has a good restaurant offering Austrian cuisine and some additional lighter foods, with seating either on the main square front or a lovely small courtyard. Breakfast was very good and had variety in the selection. The personnel were friendly and courteous speaking German, English, and Hungarian; perhaps other languages of which I was unaware.

Finding the parking lot was very difficult. One of the guests at the hotel actually walked me to the location since my GPS did not show it correctly. I did not see air conditioning in the room and can not recall if it was listed in the description on Booking.

Location , food, staff, comfort.

Said it had view . It was a back alley that was noisy at night with cleanup and noisy early morning with opening and garbage etc . Pay extra and get better area if it matters.

Efficient staff, comfortable room and very good restaurant and breakfast. Excellent location, have stayed here before and it continues to provide decent quality at a reasonable price and does not disappoint. Ideal central position with parking.
