How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

There is no aircondition in the room. When you want to open the window to allow the air flow, there's loud main street just behind the window. I would recommend you to ask for the room with garden view (and balcony). There are barely enough electricity sockets in the room. Beds are quite worn-out and not very comfortable.
Hotel is good accessible, with sufficient parking in front of the hotel. There was a possibility to store our e-bikes in the hotel garage. Staff was very helpful and pleasant. Hotel could be good outside the summer season due to missing A/C.

The room gets hot during the day and the bed mattress was a little too soft as well as the cushions.
Lots of parking space. Friendly staff and the room was also clean with the toiletries and other things included. Also the breakfast was quite good.

Extremely friendly staff. Free car parking, no reservation needed. Walkable to the town centre near the arty harbour area. Large rooms. Easily accessible on main road.

Absence of good restaurants nearby.

- No A/C nor fan (but it's very common in Austria not to have them but I guess that will change in the future. - Rooms are modest but is okay for a 3* hotel - Overall, staff friendliness, and price makes it worth it and a place to visit again Thanks :)
- Awesome staff/host at reception and very accommodating. I had a dog with me and was able to go anywhere with it - Parking spacious and included in price - Tourist card for discounts and a lot of information about klagenfurt and what to see without us asking which is becoming very rare. - Location in middle of downtown and the lake. - there's a beach lake for dogs. But in high season it was pretty full. - bathroom pretty good and fancy.

Cosy room, very clean. Quiet hotel, although it is situated on a busy road.Breakfast was very tasteful. Hotel manager very helpful and friendly.

Location could of been better, it was a 30 minute walk to the city
Staff were very friendly especially when we are from Australia. Room was beautiful with a mountain view. Bathrooms were clean and daily house keeping

There is no ventilator in the bathroom.
We stopped here on our way home from holiday in Italy and we reserved at the very last moment. It's a cosy, slightly old-fashioned hotel with very nice staff. The room was spacious with very comfortable beds and a clean bathroom. It has a sort of bric a brac style where new meets old and refurbished meets obsolete but the beds, the clean bathroom and good breakfast made it perfect for a one night stay.

For the most part we couldn’t sleep, the road goes past the hotel along with a train track, the road seemed unusually busy at night in the city! I asked for a quiet room but I don’t think there is one as the hotel is so close to the rood and for sure three side are affected. Very strange pictures in the room, very dark and macabre!
It’s very clean, the staff were perfect, rear garden well kept, a lot of parking included.

The soundproofing wasn’t great.. you can hear literally everything from the rooms next door, which made it kind of hard to fully relax at night.
The room was super clean and the bed was honestly one of the comfiest I’ve ever slept in, honestly such a treat after a full day of exploring. The location is amazing, everything is close by and easy to reach. Also, the lady at the front desk was really sweet and helpful, which made check-in feel extra warm and welcoming.

Unfortunately there is no AC, but in the evening eventually it was okay, even on the hottest of days.
First of all the staff, the owner is a really great guy, helpful and everything. Second, the breakfast is really good. And everything else.
