Beautiful hotel with friendly staff. Delicious food at the restaurant. Clean, air conditioned room overlooking the Danube.

We liked everything.

Breakfast was great as well as restaurant for dinner. Great view and good food.

AC did not work well overnight.

This is an outstanding hotel. I enjoyed every moment of staying here and would recommend the hotel to anyone staying in Salzburg. The building is incredible and the staff even better. Thank you and we look forward to returning.

Wonderful luxurious historic hotel greatly located

Beautiful location. Very grand, located on the Danube river with wonderful views.

Hôtel restaurant is okay, service was pleasant, but food was not if the same calibre as one might expect of a hotel at this level.

Everything is great

Stand out hotel in lovely town of Dürnstein. There are many positives about the hotel. Staff are lovely and very helpful . They took our bags from our car to the room. Lovely public rooms and swimming pool was a bonus in the hot weather . We had dinner on the terrace overlooking the Danube which was standout if searingly hot but the hotel can’t help that. Parking outside in courtyard. Liked the complimentary non alcoholic drinks and snacks.

Room was clean and a decent size but I think the bathroom could do with a refit. Totally clean but a nice wet room would have suited the size of the room rather than a bath.

Beautiful building in amazing location

It is rather expencive, no coffee in the room, and restaurant staff friendly but unexperienced and confused.

the hotel is in a good location in Durstein. The staff were friendly, the breakfast was good.

The room was disappointing - the shower room was tiny with no window, and the toilet room was also tiny, located as part of the closet. The door does not close properly and creaks. There were no amenities in the shower room. Although we asked for a double bed, there were 2 beds close to each other with 2 single narrow blankets. we paid 400 Euro for 1 night Sorry, but not worth it

It is lovely situated hotel with a beautiful view over the Donau river and perfect place for bike enthusiasts to start excursions in the area .

I know is a castle . It was not my first stay here . Unfortunately this time the rooms we had were old and used. Some of them definitely need the renovation due to unpleasant smell from pipes , used beds , destroyed walls and lack of ventilation. It is absolutely not worth the price in relation to the quality.

Beautiful property along the river. Excellent location and friendly and helpful staff.

One of the best hotels we've ever stayed at, and in one of the most beautiful places. Wonderful staff, generous gifts each day in our refrigerator (drinks, snacks); an incredible location above a bend of the Danube River in a picturesque perfect village.

Fabulous location

Added parfume in room was nice but not necessary because odour is perceived differently by each person. My stay at Hotel Schloss Dürnstein was a pleasant experience, and I truly appreciated the hospitality there. However, I am very disappointed with Booking.com’s policy, which—based on my experience—appears to filter or block feedback depending on hotel requests. Specifically, I stayed at Ringhotel Seehof Berlin during the ITB fair and encountered serious issues regarding comfort, hygiene, and safety. Despite reaching out through the customer portal to request the opportunity to submit an honest review, my request was deliberately ignored. I sincerely hope that moderators will take this feedback seriously and ensure more transparency and fairness in the review system.

The location was superb! I enjoyed the breakfast and the dinner in the evening!
