How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Slightly awkward when you are not on the half board basis as it is a bit unclear where you should sit for breakfast if a coach party is in residence.
Stunning views from our balcony, very friendly staff, spotlessly clean and very comfortable room. We used the restaurant for dinner and found that to be very good too. Excellent choice for breakfast

Busy and old-fashioned, but clean, cosy, practical and super friendly staff, good food, close to ski lift and bus, some restaurants nearby but very good half pension. God's value for the price.

Great buffet breakfast, hotel is just opposite gondola and vey close to supermarket for snacks. Staff are lovely and evening meals are good value for money. We have stayed there twice now and are planning to stay again at Christmas 2025.

While the overall experience was great, the food quality could have been better.
The room was spacious and ideal for a family with a toddler, complete with a balcony. The hotel staff was incredibly warm and welcoming, creating a genuine family-friendly atmosphere. The location is excellent, just a short distance from the ski slope.

Breakfast is worth than expected from Austrian traditional hotel. Water from tge shower goes off the place. Receptionist does not speak english 🤦♂️ Value for money could be better up to me.
Location is nice. Style is nice. Room amanitoes are good, new and clean and room is spacious.

Great food and service at this family run hotel. Authentic Austrian homemade cuisine, the owner, Christian, is also the cook and makes a perfect Kaiserschmarrn. Clean, comfortable, modern rooms. Great entertainment with live music in the hotel bar at night. Central location in Niederau. Hiking/biking trails and lifts easily reachable by foot. A big thank you to the hosts and owners, Christian and his son Dominik, for an incredible stay! We will be back!

Simply put, the hotel was short-staffed staffed during our stay and that showed up in a number of ways. Hopefully, this was an anomaly as it did cause some lengthy wait times for dinner service and checking out the next day. Even so, I would still highly recommend the hotel and give them the benefit of the doubt that things typically run smoother.
The hotel was pristine--super clean. The rooms were large and very comfortably appointed with wonderful balconies and amazing views of the gorgeous surrounding landscape. The breakfast buffet had a nice array of breads, cereals, nuts, jam, scrambled and boiled eggs, plus sliced meats. And the coffee was excellent! Niederau is a small village with several hotels but not much else. It appeared that nearly every hotel has its own restaurant so finding food in town wasn't a problem. We went for the Almatreib in Auffauch which was about a 10 minute drive from the hotel. It's a beautiful little town to relax and enjoy the lovely views.

Breakfast - here is a lot to do. We have been late and there left not to much for us. Second thing there was a lot of flies.

Wonderful family run hotel. Rooms were a really good size and spotless, staff were excellent, great facilities in the hotel and a good choice of menu in the restaurant. We used it as a base for skiing in the SkiWelt which meant 15/20 minute drive each day to the lifts at Hopfgarten and Brixental. Would happily stay here again!

(Drunk) People can make noise in and outside their disco, earplugs recommended when sleeping with open windows 😉

The kitchen equipment was chaotic - there were many things that were not necessary for common use but there were no spoons. There was only small space around beds and not much storage space for more people. There were only three chairs at the table but the apartment was stated for four people.
We spent only one night there and it was sufficient for this purpose. However, it would be too small for four people to spend there more time. There was only small space around beds and not much storage space.
