Our visit was to attend our brothers funeral, who lived in the area. There owners and staff were extremely accommodating, the restaurant is normally closed on a monday evening but they opened it so that all of the family could have a meal together after the ceremony, this was very much appreciated thank you. We would stay again when we return to Windischgarsten.

Perhaps there could be some map that is available while booking to see where the parking spot is, as it is not directly near the hotel. But it is a minor complaint.

I really do not have any complaints. Everything was as I expected. The room was clean and cosy, stocked with everything you need. The breakfast was delicious.

It is not possible to go to the hotel before 14h.. not in the room, but to waint in the restaurant or room to change after the trip..It is open at 14h - the hotell But the staff is very helpful and for the next time , it is than easy to plan.

Very large room, nice looking hotel.. clean.. parking in very good lokation. Ski area is just 7 km with care.. and Hinterstoder maybe 25 min with care Free ski bus is just short walk from the hotel. Location from the hotel is very good for everything!

We spent a night in this nice accommodation which has a great restaurant serving tasty dishes with kind and family friendly service. Our room was clean,comfortable and quiet. Plus point for the water tap that gives fresh water for the guests.

Beautiful stylish old building, nicely renovated. Cosy room, comfortable beds, modern bathrooms, all superclean. Delicious breakfast with variety of choices. Dinner was also available in the hotel restaurant. The city itself is very charming and ski slopes in Hinterstoder are just 20 minutes drive. Great value for the money!

Parking is a bit tricky, but the hotel staff is helpful so it was easy for us too. Perhaps the only small issue - a bit of a personal preference - a carpet in the room would make it a bit more "welcoming", even though it was all fine already as it is with wooden floor.

The location in the centre of the town is absolutely fabulous - in the middle of the Alps, yet only a few minutes drive from the Pyhrn Autobahn. The room was fine in a historic building with quite some charm created inside mostly by the wooden stairs and the furniture on the 1st floor - we liked it a lot. It was also well sound-insulated. We noticed the morning rush on the streets only after we opened the window in the morning. The hotel is accommodating and welcomes dogs, which is a plus. Even though in the center of the town, we had no problem to find a bit of greenery around to let our furry friend run around a bit. The lady at the reception desk was also very helpful, thanks! The breakfast was fine, rather standard - lots of choice and we could find everything according to our individual tastes. There's a good choice of restaurants in the vicinity too. All in all, we had a great stay - 1 night on our way from the north of EU to the south - we enjoyed the break and had a good time. We would stay anytime again. Oh, and the tasty spring water from the tap on the 1st floor! That is a nice touch - don't miss it!

In short this hotel is excellent. We were very nicely surprised by the dinner menu and quality of food served. Hotel owners pay special attention to great food. So one can expect not only great dinner but also delicious breakfast. Even though the hotel is in historical building and city downtown, rooms are newly renovated with modern but very practical furniture and equipment. We highly recommend this hotel for stay.

The bed was a bit hard

Beautiful place, very cute staff and helpful, the hotel is romantic, it has a nice dinning room, and also have their own offer of great beers. Room are spacious and confortable very clean and well decorated. Breakfast had many option for you to prepare. Amazing place to stay
