Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PolandLack of knowledge and support in purchasing city parking tickets – hotels should definitely have these tickets for guests, because parking in Vienna is a real nightmare! Breakfast – the bare minimum...

ItalyThis is a 3 star hotel with super friendly staff, the location is top notch as it's literally 3 minutes walk from the Museum Quartier, Karlsplatz and the naschmarkt. Room comfy and clean (btw no plastic in the room, good choice!).We visited with our children and we loved it. We'll be back!

AustraliaSeemed to be 3/3 times we dealt with staff there was a huge delay in getting through people. When trying to leave bags behind, one man suggested we just leave them in the lobby by the door, we had to push to get them locked away in at least the managers office.
Big room, reasonably close

The room was small but perfectly laid out, bathroom while small was extremely functional and well set up. Good breakfasts provided and the location is just 5 minutes to the Museum precinct for all the big attractions. Great value and location for Vienna.

CanadaThe beds were on the firm side and the shower was a little crammed. Neither were a huge deal.
Excellent location and very helpful staff. My safe was left locked by the last person who stayed in the room. I brought it to their attention and they had it opened a few minutes later. Breakfast was healthy and well rounded.

AzerbaijanWe had 3 different rooms. Our room was smaller than others. So some rooms are bigger but some are smaller. Would be great if they provided slippers. Shampoo was small as well. Our overall experience was very good, mainly for its quietness and cleanliness. The location is just a few meters away from Museum Quartier. We walked everywhere except Schönbrunn, which was just 25 minutes Ride by metro. If you are Ok with smaller room, don’t even hesitate to book the hotel.
The hotel was very clean. That is what attracted me first thing. The staff was very friendly and helpful. If 2 star the hotel could be rated 10, but for a three star the rooms are small. The breakfast is modest, but again everything clean and tidy. Room service was available everyday.

Francethe room was a bit small and the insulation was not very good as you hear eveything happening in the hallway. The road is a bit noisy so having the window open at night isn't ideal but possible.
The room was slightly small but comfortable and had a place for my shirts (I was there for work). The breakfast was decent. The staff were very nice.

LithuaniaThe room was very small and very typical, on the other hand, this is quite normal for a price and one bed room. What was not so normal was the attitude of the staff. Upon arrival, the receptionist was polite and nice, but late in the evening, the young receptionist was very ignorant. The next day, when I asked for toothpaste at the reception for one tooth brushing, she offered to buy a tube for 2 euros. I agreed, but she didn't want to give it to me because I promised to bring her money when I checked out. I was a little shocked :) - I left her 2 euros and a tube of toothpaste before leaving, because I had to spend the whole day in Vienna and I didn't want to carry it. :)
Vienna - I loved it. Also - I liked the location - a really peaceful, but also in the city center - near all main city attractions. The room was clean, breakfast quite ordinary, but well prepared.

United KingdomVery small invonviences but the vending machine in the hotel didn't seem to like to take card payments and was very expensive. Sometimes it was needed as a lot of shops shut early in Vienna, especially on a weekend.
Hotel Terminus is in a very good location to explore Vienna. It is in a quiet back street but is very close to main shopping streets and close by a lot of the main tourist attractions. The rooms are clean and modern, and the bathroom is good. Good value for money by the standards set in Vienna.
