Check in through the automated check-in system, at midnight, without human support might become a nightmare if you forget the booking number in that system. (I am too boomer for this). Luckily it was in the chat history in Booking com. ! Fill the check in forms upfront on computer. Much more convenient than through the touchscreen. You can even pay upfront. Forget "pay@checkout". The system does not give you the room door code, till payment not completed. The traffic in front of the hotel was much stronger than 2 years ago.

Returning visitor. Breakfast improved. "Vanilientasche" in bakery is still delicious, and they even reserved 10 for us as per request. Rooms have locks using numeric code. Forget the keys... but DO NOT forget the code... For bikers it is a very good place. There is even a "bike garage".

Great bakery on the ground floor, the hotel itself has seen a better days, but ok for a short stay.

* Danube is next to the building, but you don't have a good view to it. Of course, there's nothing that the owner could do about it. :) * The furniture is out-dated, but you feel it in the low price of the accommodation. * No airco.

* Friendly owner that trusts her clients. She left the room open, so I could check in very late. * Parking spots, both in front of the building and in the backyard. * Breakfast at decent prices at the bakery below. * Good location - 7 min from highway.

Poor selection of TV channels No kettle in the room The only real problem was being woken at at 05:45 by staff arriving to set up the bakery for opening at 07 :00. (This was a Sunday but during the week they open at 05:00 so do they wake everyone up at 03:45?) Perhaps ask for a room well away from the entrance as that will be quieter. The bakery downstairs is quite pricey It is 1km west of Ybbs town

The main entrance door couldn’t be fully closed; we never met any of the staff, it was self-check in and not very close to the city center located at the main road. It was totally over priced

We were able to stay a second night therefore grateful; awesome bakery below; secure place to store bikes; unsecured wifi. A walk out onto the weir to watch cruise boats use the lock was fastenating. Comfortable, approx 2 kms from town.

Minor issues: No aircondition. Would be helpfull on rainy days like we had. No hair dryer in rooms. Early morning it took some minutes for the hot water to arrive to the shower. Then it became really hot suddenly.

Frendly staff. If you speak German, communication is really easy, and they appreciate it. You can buy delicious bakery products beside the breakfast (extra), even on Sunday morning (most of shops closed). Danube is in walking distance, and there is a bicycle track at the bank of the river. You can just simply walk in to the center of Ybbs (~2km) Free parking behind the building, away from the street Rooms are clean inside. Though, windows have some spider nets outside, and sometimes they sneak-in, when you open the window.

2km out of the town village, however, we liked that. Sure it's on a busy road but it quietened down for shut eye hours. The Bistro across the road to the left approx. 30 metres was okay. Secured WIFI, awesome bakery downstairs and go for a walk out onto the weir to watch the cruise boats be raised or lowered in the tidal locks. Stayed an extra night without any hassle.
