How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

When we got in and asked if we can leave our luggage at the checkout day they told us ok , but after we checked out the reception person told us it is not possible and they are sorry, and did not offer a solution to the situation. We counted on that because we had to load our sport equipment together with the suitcases

Verified reviewabsolutely TERRIBLE experience. management and owners are extremely CHEAP. it is a boutique hotel that doesnt have even a kettle in the rooms. the kettle is downstairs and they would charge you for every cup of coffee you would have. they also have a microwave there but wont let you use it. there are no nearby restaurants and when I tried to heat up some food in that microwave the owner (who is constantly observing the place day and night) approached me and said that he doesnt allow me to use the microwave. he said its not healthy for me to eat so late (it was around 8pm btw). i had a 4-night booking and after 1-st night i asked to let me go for the remaining 2 days. he said he wouldnt return the money so i was forced to stay. upon checkout i was rushing to return the car. the manager asked to pay 3,5 euro for the coffee i drank and i said "of course, please let me pay by card". all the world is using credit cards already. she said she cant accept my card. i said i dont have cash on me which was true and im happy to pay by card. she said no. i said i have no other way to do it and im late to return my car (recall we are talking about 3,5 euro, when i have already paid 1400 for 4 nights). finally she had mercy on me and agreed to accept the card but said she is unhappy because they have to pay fee when accepting credit card. unbelievable!! ive never seen anything like that. there are no internal doors in the rooms. no doors in bathroom. even no doors in the bath cabin. from the room you directly see whats happening inside the bath cabin. i had a 2-room apt, and it was very hard without doors

They even prepared a birthday cake and candle for my housband, which was such an unplanned but lovely gesture. We loved the stay and would come back anytime again.

The breakfast was chosen for you every day and pretty much the same every single day... served at your table, which was super awkward. You couldn't even grab a coffee for yourself when you wanted one. You'd get a tiny portion of veg every morning, like a quarter of an avocado, whatever bread they gave you you ate, tiny portion of Spar own brand basic muesli every morning...all very strange. Staff mostly not there, except hovering over you as you ate your breakfast every morning of course. Spa only open for a few hours during the day, which made planning your day difficult. Sometimes the pool was not open at all or not at the stated hours, some days it was not heated. Obligatory extra charge for parking, also very odd. And hardly any hooks in the suite. Three wall hooks for a whole big suite, what do you do with your bath robe, your jackets etc? A mystery. And now this is the kicker - no coffee and tea facilities in the room. You had to go down into the restaurant to make yourself a tea or coffee and pay the restaurant price for it. Just bizarre. It looks and feels like a fancy hotel but is managed so poorly with these odd choices it ruins the experience.

Verified reviewFirst stay for our honeymoon and it was the best of all 6 stays we have been to. Very friendly and helpful staff the moment we got in they recommended places for us to visit. The room was very soothing to the eye just from looking at it you feel relaxed. Would always recommend Zelloon to anyone. Their breakfast was one of a kind experience and being not a buffet it made it better you get everything in your table hot and delicious.
We had one small issue with the shower trap it was draining water a little slow but no big deal other than that everything was perfect.
