Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

It was clear and secure. The bed was very comfortable, and the shower very hot. There were some issues with the appliances. If I remember correctly, a PowerPoint in the kitchen tripped the mains power. It was only a matter of moving the microwave a few metres, and flicking the main power switch. No worry. Coffee was not restocked, however because it took me a moment to walk to a cafe, Lisa accepted a checkout +30 mins upon schedule Lisa's responses to msgs were prompt and clear. Good place to stay.

Didn't stay in the Kangaroo Point location but was offered another similar. Not ideally located for me.

Had noisy young guests next door that were getting on the beers until pretty late - however when told the site administrator they did get onto it fast. Also was a bit tricky getting in and finding the lock box late at night in the dark (theres two different areas of lock boxes). Otherwise good stay and recommend as low cost option close to town :)

Some of the guests were quite loud, but that's it!
Sophia was very helpful and friendly. I'm hoping to arrange something with her as I missed my flight and had to stay another night.

steps at back entrance were very narrow and steep.
central heating was great. Extremely good range of shops right alongside property. Good location to Southbank

A little to backpackers even really cheap back packers have a communal lounge with a tv ect the fact is there's no TVs in the rooms is cause it's an expense they don't want not to keep the prices down it's tight accommodation last resort pretty boring.
The fact that I was left alone even in a share community and that the host tried her hardest to make me feel welcome and helped to make everything seem less.

Not super close yo public transport stops so be aware you may wish to get a cab/uber/didi
Was comfortable and clean. Not far from city centre for the price. The person I spoke to was lovely, and they were able to work with my late arrival when my flight was delayed.

Parking was very tight, only really room for 3 cars Max, no more without blocking others in if they need to get out. Thankfully, I parked next to the entrance gate and was able to leave around 6am. If you can use public transport to get there, do that.
Exactly what I needed as it was only used for sleeping the night. Clean room and facilities. Comfy bed. Close to where I needed to be. (Test Cricket at The GABBA). Great communication with the owners on self bookin to get keys and any questions I had were answered quickly.

Although i had received confirmation of booking, etc days before my check in date i had not received details of room number or lock box pin by the time i arrived at the property so had to ring for these and it there had been some drama and I had to be moved to a different room and wait for luck box pin to be sent through.
Very comfortable bed. Very affordable.

Keys didnt lock the door from the outside, room could only be locked from inside. Because of this, a random walked into my room while I was showering and started rummaging for (presumably) illegal substances/money.
