Allison and Carl have created a lovely home-away-from-home experience at Allora House. The rooms are very comfortable, and there is a well-appointed shared kitchen and living area. The back garden also has great sitting areas where you can either soak up the sun in winter or hide from the heat in summer. There are plenty of tourism brochures provided in the house, and Allison also runs 'Good as Gold Tours' if you're looking for a guided experience.

Karl and Alison, couldn't have been anymore welcoming, they have a beautiful guest house, with lots of history to it was spotlessly clean and very charming, they have everything you need for a very comfortable stay, the bed was so comfy, the bed linen was beautiful, they really have done a wonderful job to make you feel like home from home, I would highly recomend staying there, very convenient walking distance from the train station, and to the town strip, good value for the price for 2 nights, I would definitely go back and recommend to my family and friends, thanks again for sharing youre beautiful home with us, keep doing what you are doing, its perfect, throughly enjoyed are stay with you in kalgoorlie. House with history and character. Hosts were friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and comfortable. Shared areas were spacious and comfortable. Outside seating area to relax. Washing machine was helpful. Short walk to town and multiple food options or supermarkets.

Not a deal breaker by any means but an additional toilet not within a shared bathroom would make a really comfortable stay even better.

Perhaps being able to put a sign on the bedroom door so people staying in other rooms would know if you were there or not- to say I'm out or In. As when we returned from being out we didn't know how quiet to be if the other room was occupied or not.

As we stayed for a weekend it would have been beneficial if margarine or butter was supplied. We were able to buy bread or crumpets for nearby Woolworths and a spread that didn't need refrigeration but to buy butter or margarine for a weekend trip would have required an esky.

Allison was great, she is very knowledgeable about Kalgoorlie and mining. We wished we had more time to take one of her tours. The accommodation was very comfortable, excellent.

As the bathroom is shared, it would be helpful to have some form of vacant/engaged sign to hang on the door. Certainly a very minor issue in an otherwise faultless home.

Carl and Allison are super nice and friendly people. They made our stay one of our best memories in Kalgoorlie! Like they said, Allora house is just like a home away from home!

Lovely stay at Allora House. Excellent location - 5 minute walk into town and to the supermarkets. Allison was great and very welcoming. Thoroughly enjoyed having aircon in my room and appreciated the microwave, plates and cutlery. Would definitely stay again.
