Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaPerhaps some English breakfast tea would improve the experience. Ceylon was the only option for regular tea.
Beautiful place, comfy bed. Dog friendly with all the comforts of home and more. Reception had a hand blender for us to borrow to puree our pumpkin soup. Outside spa was an Unexpected bonus and the stained glass windows were ever so beautiful.Thank you Jalbrook!

AustraliaCould have used a throw rug on the couch to snuggle under by the fire. And a lamp in the lounge as the dimmer switches dont work with the installed globes.
The view and chalet was amazing

AustraliaThe only criticism is the bedrooms don’t have anywhere to put anything. A few hooks or shelves to put things on would be good.
Beautiful place, gardens.

AustraliaNothing to dislike. It was perfect.
We loved the little touches in the cabin, like wood stacked and ready for the fireplace, electric blankets to make the bed toasty and warm and fresh flowers on the table.

TaiwanThis has truly been a wonderful night — the peaceful scenery, the cozy and beautifully designed interior, and the genuinely kind and welcoming staff made it an incredibly relaxing and perfect experience. Every detail, from the tranquil atmosphere to the thoughtful service, made me feel completely at ease, as if I were at a home away from home. The outdoor bath was absolutely amazing — soaking in the warm water while surrounded by the crisp, cold air was nothing short of heavenly. In such chilly weather, it felt like a slice of paradise on earth. I can’t express how soothing and refreshing it was. I genuinely hope more people will have the chance to come and experience this hidden gem. It’s one of those places that leaves a lasting impression on your heart — calm, warm, and refreshingly different from the usual. I’ll definitely cherish the memories from this stay and would gladly return again. Thank you for making it so special!

AustraliaThe location was excellent, being adjacent to the bibbulmun track and only minutes from Balingup town centre. The Teal Cottage was ve4y well appointed and very clean. WiFi service was great, and the spa was lovely (and just the trick after a long day of hiking). Our only suggestion to improve the space would be to add cushions to wooden chairs and perhaps a throw rug to make the cottage even more cosy. Beautiful place, thank you!!!!

AustraliaThe electric went off in the Jacuzzi so unfortunately unable to use after that.
The cottage was absolutely amazing tucked away on the top of a small hill with birds singing and amazing nature around you. Relax in the Jacuzzi which was amazing. The only problem was the electricity cut out on the Jacuzzi and I was unable to use it again. However the cottage and its location was quite beautiful. Very clean and well decorated with a chilled daybed outside.

AustraliaA couple of minor issues - A ceiling fan would save on the need to run the air-conditioning all the time as the weather was hot and the evenings warm. The air-conditioner worked very well to cool during the heat. But when it cooled down we couldn't leave the doors open as no locks on the back flyscreen door and no flyscreen door on the front door. The bathroom could use some robe hooks to hang clothes on when showering.
The bed and down pillows were super comfortable. Location great, easy to find and 5mins from Balingup township and 25mins from Bridgetown. The gardens and trees just beautiful, the alpacas were cute. Peace and quiet! We were able to have our 2 small dogs with us. Privacy from other cottages. Having Netflix was good. Lovely property to take walks. Lovely bathroom.
