    .

The peacefulness. You could hear the birds in the morning and the cows in the evening. Raindrops on the roof and a crackling fire. There is only one other cabin and they are far enough apart that you have complete privacy. Communication with the owners was fantastic.

We had a lovely 2-night stay at Balingup TimberTop Cottages! The cottage was cozy, clean, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a peaceful getaway. The views were stunning — waking up to the misty hills and surrounding nature was a real highlight. Julie-Anne was a warm and welcoming host, and communication was smooth from start to finish. It’s the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy the charm of Balingup.

Timber Top cottage was perfect for our needs. It was a picturesque 10 minute drive to the functions we were attending in Balingup. It was easy to get back to the cottage and enjoy the peace and tranquility of the farm between functions. The cottage was clean and ordered and most convenient. We felt very welcomed and enjoyed a walk through the trees and paddocks. As we are used to a king sized bed, we found the queen a bit small, but the bedding was fabulous… very warm and cosy. It was the snuggliest doona I think I’ve ever slept under. It made getting up hard! The dozen fresh farm eggs, bread and butter left in the fridge for us made perfect scrambled eggs. Such a treat.

Cottage was so cosy and exceptionally clean. We loved sitting on the balcony, overlooking the hills and tall trees, while listening to the choir of bird songs. At night we lit the potbelly and snuggled in to watch the fire crackling. Robyn and 'Beano' were generous hosts who were eager to make our stay as comfortable as possible.

We found the bed being a spring base was somewhat uncomfortable. The $50 for our dog for 2 nights extra was a little steep. If you paid say $20 extra a night it would have been better ( max $100 for a week) , as $50 was for as long as you stayed - a sliding amount per night would be more appealing. Although it was in a beautiful quiet setting we felt the cottage was a little far out from town, but if you just want to chill and enjoy the bush setting it was beautiful and restful.

Liked the quiet setting in the trees. Cottage very clean, loved the farm fresh eggs and other items left. We were able to take our dog.
