How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Great location, right next to a coffee shop & great Italian restaurant - the grocer/bottle shop right there nextdoor too, and plus a pharmacy…. And all close to the beach

We were in unit 16 which was lovely other than the 6 flights of stairs to access it and no lift. Was extremely hard for my 80yo mum but the place was still great.
Lovely spacious 2 bedroom unit. Very clean and great location right action from the beach. Food and other options right next door.

I didn't like that because I used the facilities I got charged.. the cleaner charged extra implying the room was left like a dump ..we bagged our rubbish ..left some dishes..didn't put the jug and toaster away..had I known that would cost $100 ... I would have done more house keeping!!!

The staff weren’t there when I arrived, I had to call a number for the code for the lockbox. I only received in the instructions the day of check-in. I didn’t see the instructions until after I had checked-in as I was driving to Port. I feel like this could have been sent a couple of days earlier for people travelling
Property was easy to find and just across the road from the beach. It has nice cafes and a couple of restaurants close by.

You are on a major coastal road so there is some traffic noise.
Staff friendly and informative. Clean and tidy with equipped kitchen. Location is brilliant. Across the road from Flynn's Beach, dr surgery, pharmacy, cafes, patisserie and restaurants on your doorstep.

Floors were a little dirty, and we woke up the first morning to an ant infestation, which we had to manage for the rest of our stay. It was a little remote for our main purpose to view aspects of the Ironman.
Don't give full reactions to many things. All in all, we had a pleasant stay overall.

Its a little further from the town than I thought. 45 minute walk, but car would be fine.
Apartment was great, bed super comfy and great slection of TV channels, Cafe and Restaurant next door were very good.

For the price we paid, you shouldn't have to take your own garbage to the bins. There were chips left behind the T.V on the table and on the balcony under the table. The pool could have been a little cleaner, (it needs to be kept clean when so many people using the pool)
The apartment was a great size; kitchen had was very well equipped. Location was great, easy walk to the shops and beach and along the coast if you wanted. Rooms great size and lots of cupboard space.

No ceiling fans or aircon in bedrooms - would be pretty hot in summer. No dishwasher. There were a few coffee and sugar sachets but no tea bags or milk.
Location was excellent - right across the road from Flynn’s beach and next door to shops. Wifi was great, beds were comfy, parking was relatively easy. Even though the complex is on a busy road, it is nice and quiet.

Aircon only in living room, no ceiling fans in bedrooms which made it hot and muggy to sleep No bath plug, no kitchen tongs, poor washing up detergent made it difficult to clean properly BYO
