No coffee plunger- but they have one now. Not much around the property a short walk to a small shop but not much else. You can get a bus into town from just outside the apartment.

Very comfortable bed and air conditioning. Beach just over the road

Hot water was luke warm when we arrived and went cold after first shower and didn’t reheat. There were 4 of us. After hours staff and plumber were very helpful and came to fix the issue. However we were told if the problem was due to us using all the hot water we would be charged for the call out even though we didn’t arrive until the afternoon and therefore I presume whoever checked out before us could have used the water? Also the water usually would not start to reheat until 10pm and being electric hot water system that would take some time. Having said that, the problem was fixed and we weren’t charged the call out fee.

Great location, beach straight across the road. Balcony area lovely place to sit and have afternoon drinks. Clean and comfortable.

Location good. Kept awake by very noisy whirly bird in roof. Agent said they'd reported it to Strata. Didn't notify us that we'd be woken by roofers removing metal roofing and accessing roof via just outside our bedroom window at 7.00 am Day 5 of our stay. We're still waiting for a response from agent after we complained about the timing of the repairs as the apartment is empty after our stay. Obviously the roofing issue was more than a broken whirly bird and the repairs had been planned in advance without considering us. Access to the parking was difficult.

The only thing I didn’t like so much was that the bedrooms became quite warm and despite a fan in each room, the room temperature in the bedrooms was a little bit high at times for sleeping however the air-conditioning was most effective in the rest of the property The parking is pretty tight when there are four cars there and we had to park our car on the street most of the time so that the kids could get in and out of the car. However these are very small negatives for such a beautiful presented property.

Sandy Beach Road exceeded my expectations. In the advertising, it suggested that you will need to bring everything including some cleaning products toilet paper washing powder and so on however this property was actually very well stocked at the time we stayed. The kitchen drawer is full of all that you might need to be able to prepare a proper meal. There are plenty of fry pans and a couple of saucepans. There is one large saucepan and one small saucepan so if you’re cooking pasta with pasta sauce you may struggle a little. There is a microwave, sandwich maker, air fryer , toaster for four pieces, a full oven and cooktop. There are plenty of wine glasses and crockery for four people. There are also plenty of items for serving. There is a bathroom with a very small bathtub but a lovely large shower. In the bedrooms there are decent sized wardrobes, good size bedside tables, and a lovely king size bed in the master bedroom. Everything was super clean and beautifully presented on arrival. The property is a very short walk to the gorgeous Nelson Bay and there is plenty to do in this area. The shopping plaza is a short drive. They have Coles, Woolworths, Kmart and a large variety of small shops, hairdresser etc and a food court. There is also plenty of takeaway food in all the big brand names. The parking and laundry are out the back. The laundry is fully appointed with a top loading washing machine and dryer. McGrath staff were really friendly and helpful, I.e. when I needed to change the booking by one day. Although I had to be redirected back to booking.com they were helpful and reassuring. Pick up keys was pretty easy and the welcome pack contained a number of useful items.

We left a day earlier than planned due to the fact that we could not get a good nights sleep.

Very awkward parking facilities, limited space with a very narrow driveway. There was a damaged down pipe that dripped constantly from the early hours of the morning outside the bedroom window. Very expensive for what was provided.
