Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Not much.
Very characterful and comfortable room. Outside shaded area for lounging or eating. Beautiful large gardens despite the drought and a great location for visiting Maria Island. Very attentive and welcoming landlady.

Nothing to not like.
The accommodation was very clean and comfortable. Very comfortable bed. Breakfast was very good and plenty of food. Homemade jams and croissants were lovely. Beautiful seating area outside was very private.

It would be good to have a system for composting organic waste, rather than sending it to landfill, where it contributes to greenhouse gas production, as it breaks down.
Beautifully dark at night in the room - you rarely get to experience this these days as there is so much light pollution even in the country and usually there are tiny bright red or green standby lights on appliances to disturb you. Also it was quiet. So wonderful. And you get an excellent night's sleep. A lovely garden. Friendly and helpful host. Very comfortable.

Not much around in the way of restaurants if wanting to eat late at night.
Very well equipped, comfortable room. Nice breakfast provided and liked the fact we could take our time and have this in our room. Lady owner was very friendly. Loved that we were welcomed by a wallaby in the garden! Spring Beach was worth a visit.

We loved the quiet and peaceful setting. There is a private patio just off the room that was very relaxing. We saw kangaroos in the yard.

Big room and very comfortable bed. Nice outdoor area (we even saw a few wallabies in the garden), and great location. Very close to restaurants and grocery store, and only 10 minutes to the ferry to Maria Island.

Great place to stay on our way to Hobart after a visit to Maria Island. Comfortable and cosy room with a nice terrace overlooking lovely property and gardens. Our host, Mary, thought of every detail, including fresh baked pastries for breakfast.

Very comfortable place to stay, particularly if planning a trip to Maria Island as the ferry departs from nearby Triabunna. Host Mary was friendly and very helpful. We had the whole downstairs level of her house with a lovely patio overlooking the garden. Generous breakfast provisions. Would definitely stay again.

The steep driveway can be a challenge, park on the level ground at the top of the driveway to unload your vehicle.

Lovely B&B set in a very quiet position. Our hostess (sorry I can't remember her name) was lovely and explained how everything worked. The breakfast options were great and the bread basket lovely. Very comfy bed as well.

Nothing really.
We had a lovely stay at Beezneez which is positioned in a quiet location. The room was very spacious and had all the amenities that you need. There is also a pleasant outdoor area where you can relax and enjoy watching the local wildlife. The bathroom was across the hallway but we had exclusive use to it. A continental breakfast was provided in our room, plentiful and yummy. Mary is a lovely host and we would happily stay here again.

A reading lamp on each side of the bed would have been handy.
First impression was the entrance. Leading into a well established garden we immediately started to expect a nice homely feeling. The short drive along the track through the trees was encouraging our interest, then the premises with the sign, "Guest Parking" was spotted. Car parked and entrance found with a note on the door welcoming us and please enter and make ourselves at home, host (Mary) will not be far away. Found our accommodation and was delighted with the size, layout and furnishings. Mary arrived within five minutes and explained everything we needed to know and informed us a little later in the afternoon a platter would be brought down with the ingredients for our breakfast which included fresh croissants that rarely made breakfast time. The room had a comfortable area with two large easy chairs with foot rest, dining table with two comfortable chairs. Bed, TV and coat stand. Patio door led out to large outdoor area well furnished with protected area to enjoy the magnificent gardens. Large bay window in room looked out to gardens and in the morning we looked out to see a rabbit munching of the grass plus numerous birds. A very enjoyable stay and highly recommended.

Nothing - I wish we stayed longer
The location is perfect, surrounded by a beautiful garden. You can tell the owner really puts an effort into providing a great stay, the more you look around the room and bathroom, the more little nice touches you find, and the breakfast was very generous. The selection of teas and coffee is great.
