How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The room was very comfortable, with a very good range - for a kitchenette - of food prep items. The location is very close to cafes and supermarkets, and was quiet. The owners were very organised with self-check-in info, and very responsive to messages.

There was a very small gap at the bottom of the door which let a draught in.
The location of the property was why we picked it.

The undercover car parking is down the back. First worrld problem.

The room was excellent😍 It was very clean and had a spoon, plate, hair dryer, and everything I needed. Stacey was very kind and granted my request for a late check-out! I will definitely come here again if I visit Wangaratta in the future👍👍

Property was clean (very clean) and had everything we needed for a short stay (a long stay would suit also). Close to shops, Aldi, pub, restaurants. Host communication was great! Bed comfortable. Cannot fault this place.

Billabong Motel may not have the most modern rooms, but they're extremely clean & comfortable; room rate is very reasonable
Check-In process easy - details of key location/photo & key code were messaged to me. Plenty of coffee/tea & biscuits Provision of shower gel, shampoo/conditioner in small tubes Super clean/crisp white sheets & fresh smelling pillows Location very central and safe to walk around. A Hotel with Bistro meals and Aldi supermarkeyt across the road. My best discovery - the Wok-Inn, next to Aldi. Delicious noodles & Asian food (best Fried Rice ever imo) at a very reasonable price!

Everything was fantastic.
Exceptionally clean, very comfortable bed, best shower ever. An excellent, powerful hairdryer! Soft, white fluffy towels, quality soap, shower gel and shampoo, conditioner. Even face cloths which a lot of motels have given up on. Brilliant location! Pub that does good takeaway just across the road, plenty of other eateries nearby. Also close to Woolworths supermarket and Big W. Lovely park and river walk nearby. Self check in was quick and easy. Loved the strong clip on the key which enabled it to be easily clipped to handbag or car keys, so not easy to lose or forget. An interesting style of motel building- it just looks like a lovely home- the rooms are built in to the veranda, making you feel more like you’re staying at a friend’s home than a motel! I was offered early check in, which was very much appreciated, but l understand that this can’t be available every time. Highly recommend staying there!

Bar fridge needs a small freezer attached to it for ice packs or other foods that can be frozen

The location is THE best for me when in Wang'.Merriwa Park is almost part of the stay location. 'Loved the self check in! The bathroom is modern and faultless!
