I'm not sure the sheets were clean, but, if they were, they were pretty well used. However, the bed was very comfortable

Just about stayed in every room at this house now, on my regular visits to Melbourne. Never has I struck a room where the TV works😡 Why are they there - no remotes & if you try to operate manually, they're not tuned. Guess it's expected everyone has IPAD's

Have stayed here many times on my visits to Melbourne from Victorian/NSW border. Convenient location, 3 bus stops from Box Hill train station.

It would be great if one is staying longer, that the beds would be made and a second set of towels and facecloth be replaced....coffee and tea and milk provided would also be great ...upon late arrival to at least have a beverage.

Room cluttered with superfluous stuff. Bed and bedding unprofessionally made, with a duvet cover used as a sheet. No provided spoons, coffee or tea. Kettle tripped power board. Dusty floor in places.

The room was comfortable, but there was no hot water so was not able to have a proper shower. That was very disappointing.

It was mentioned that there will be an air conditioner, there was just a cooler not an air conditioner. There was so much noise in the house, people were talking loudly without thinking about others. It was really hard to sleep on that board like bed, which was very uncomfortable.

Room was quite cold and dark. The room fridge was not working properly and smells bad. Windows were not completely insulated and you could easily hear everything from outside.

Nice and comfortable bed. I have my own whole bathroom, which is a extra bonus for this price.

The main issue was the noise. Some was from other visitors (until very late in the 1-2am). Another night there seemed to be maintenance going on around midnight.

I get it was advertised as a very basic room, but I particularly asked for a room with ensuite and was assured that it did. Well it didn't, and although it was close to the room you had to go outside to access the bathroom, which was in very poo state. Again I get it was a very cheap and basic facilities but the base of the shower was broken, lose tiles etc and the water was escaping through the cracks in the base and not via the waste. in the separate bathroom. Room itself could have done with a very good clean. Although it was described "low price" I think if its going to be advertised for rent it should at least be clean and in useable state of repair. Leaving a hand written to sign to say "....not a star-rated hotel..."does not abrogate responsibility to minimum standards of repair and cleanliness.

everything was pretty dirty (bathmat uncleaned and a used soap and wash cloth left on bathroom sink), the bed consisted of 2 singles so sagged in the middle, tv remote didn’t work, tv didn’t have reception so couldn’t watch anything anyway, there were about 6 power chords, extension leads and power-boards for all different appliances, random plastic chairs in the room and bathroom that were in the way, was very loud - people right outside our room in the shared courtyard talking until midnight.

Accommodation was not as advertised. Dangerous, almost certainly illegal power connections. No parking as advertised. Left immediately and requested a full refund from Booking.com - Booking.com have not yet contacted me (5 days later).
