Sandy & Laurie were wonderful, caring people. Sandy welcomed us to her home from the minute we arrived. It was interesting to listen to Laurie speak about the history of the B&B. Really interesting.

The friendly hosts who made us very welcome even when we arrived very late after a tyre blow out. It is old fashioned all round and a bit musty but they made us feel so welcome and the bed was comfy. The breakfast was sensational and a great start to the day.

Everything - Sandy was so welcoming and hospitable, the bed was so cosy we didn’t want to get out of it, it was a short walk to a great Chinese restaurant (Dragon & Phoenix) and we had a delicious cooked breakfast in the morning. Country hospitality at its finest.

    That we couldn’t stay longer!

The hosts were lovely. Nothing was too much for them, despite their advancing years.

It was exceptionally cold and difficult to keep the room at a nice temperature.

Sandy and Laurie were lovely hosts, made my husband and I feel very welcome. Staying at Chinnock was a very enjoyable country overnite stay. The bed was so comfie and the breakfast delish. Sandy couldn’t do enough to make our stay more pleasant, we will be back for sure. Thank you Sandy and Laurie.

A delightful host and hostess made this overnight stop very comfortable. Our hostess was very understanding as to why we were two hours behind our expected time of arrival - our fault completely. She went out of her way to smooth our emotions and make us feel welcome. (The schooner at the local RSL, a short walk down the street also helped to calm.) Breakfast started our next day off very nicely and prepared us for the next leg of our trip.

I was disappointed that the ghosts did not make their presence felt. (Chinnock is the old hospital and our room had been the operating theatre!)

We’re on an Easter road trip and had an excellent nights stay at Sandy‘s. Very warm welcome, lovely chat with very kind host Sandy we felt like we were staying at her house. Gilgandra has a lovely river walk and it was a beautiful evening to explore the sites and lovely to come back to a cup of tea sit on the Veranda and enjoy some of Sandy’s home-made treats . The house has a very interesting history and we slept soundly, very comfortable bed and in the morning a cooked breakfast was included. As a bonus we bought some of Lorie‘s home-made honey, loved being able to look out the window to the hives! Highly recommend
