Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

It was a little noisy at night from adjacent building and street noise however this hasn’t deterred me from booking another night stay in a few weeks. I definitely recommend this property.
Loved the location. Close to lots of bars and restaurants in a lovely part of Melbourne city. Small, intimate and cosy, older property but very well maintained, reception staff (Daniel) extremely welcoming and friendly and very helpful. I booked a triple room (3 separate single beds which is hard to find in Melbourne CBD) which was very spacious and cosy, beds very comfortable, hard and soft pillow provided. I liked having a kitchenette.

The bed wasn't the most comfortable. However, it was still adequate to sleep in. There was some noise pollution from outside, but that's not the fault of the hotel.
I enjoyed my time here. The location is perfect for any stay in the CBD. Further, the room was quite good for what you pay for. I would stay here again.

Cleanliness could be improved slightly, but it’s pretty clean by most people’s standards.

The location was not great but that is only based on where I needed to go the next day for work.
It was quirky and I was on a higher floor as requested due to working early the next day. The staff were great, the rooms are a little old with age showing but still in good working order.

Kitchenette is very sparse - only had microwave, kettle, toaster and fridge, no small hob facility.
Great apartment in the centre of the city - easy to walk everywhere within the CBD. Supermarket just around the corner. Very clean and staff were very friendly. 24 hour reception which is great if doing late check in.

Everything was great.
Amazing location with everything you need on your doorstep. A perfect place to stay for a theatre night or weddings. It was more spacious than I expected, with really comfortable bedding, and the car parking option was very easy. For a place in the middle of the city it was still very quiet and relaxing.

You can hear a bit of street noise at night but even on a Saturday night it didn't go too late and didn't disturb my sleep at all.
We had a great stay. The staff were lovely and helpful. We even got a free upgrade. The room was nice for the price. Nice shower and comfortable bed. The location is excellent for the theatre district. Plenty of great places to eat nearby and close to public transport.

when I walked in the room smelled of cigarette smoke probably from previous guest. I got cold because I couldn't work out how to change the aircon system because it was locked.
location made it so east to go to the theatre and catch public transport to the city. shower amenities were great and the bed was comfy.

As I mentioned earlier, the room is a bit outdated. The walls and cupboards should be repainted and the carpet NEEDS to be changed. Also, there is no room slippers so it was a bit uncomfortable to walk barefoot. While there are body wash and shampoo+conditioner, toothpaste (even a small one) is non-existent.
Location was perfect! I was able to walk to different areas in the CBD and Chinatown, and it's close to tram stations and other food areas. The room was average - clean, but a bit outdated. Overall facilities are well-kept and clean, from the lobby to the hallways and the rooms. It was great that there is a free coffee as well when guests arrived or in the morning. I appreciate the receptionists as all of them are amazing and really personable.
