Steep stairway to upstairs suites. No lift. Challenge for older age with suitcases.

Cleaning staff should check soap dispensers as ours were completely empty. We asked for them to be filled and got more body lotion. We ended up going to Aldi and buying our own. Also shower head was broken and would not stay upright so you had to have shower holding the shower head in one hand

Close to shops and restaurants. Room was cosy and warm. Lots of towels, face washers and hand towels provided for the 2 night stay. Lots of tea and coffee provided. Beautiful old building decorated very tastefully.

Loved it all

Dinner across the road was easy, breakfast was a short walk away. Location was perfect, nice walks close by. Room and bathroom was brilliant. Check in and check out process was so easy.

No spare toilet rolls or tissues in bathroom/unsuited, roll and tissue box close to empty when we arrived, also body wash ran out Friday evening of stay so used the bar of soap we always pack in case of emergency, so only rating as 8 this time around, in previous years (2022/2023) rated as a 10, didn't see any staff at Clocktower so cannot give a good score

My only comment was that I was a bit cold (mid winter and I would have loved an electric blanket as I tend to run a bit cold).

Access to our room was a bit strange with many doors and gates into the property locked off. Generally there was only one way in and one way out. We were on the 2nd floor which meant walking up the old grand staircase, which was fine for us but if anyone has some sort of disability you would need to make sure you book a ground floor suite

Unfortunate that the roman blinds in our room had come off the tracks and as they were at least 12 foot ceilings, it was hard to fix ourselves. Consequently, this let the sunlight in quite early. Also, the addition of a full length mirror would be really helpful.

Lovely heritage building; close to centre, close to our family living in town. Friendly helpful staff at key collection. Room was spacious and clean and had a lovely separate sitting room attached.

Walls were very thin. We could hear next door talking late at night and many hours of their sexual enjoyment. It wasn’t that enjoyable for us who just wanted to sleep.

This accomodation was the hi light of our holiday. Our suite was beautiful, it was a very luxurious stay. Location is perfect, close to everything. We would definitely stay again.

Access and egress for the building is only via the car park vehicle gate. There appeared to be no other-way for a pedestrian to exit the building. As we only had one remote this became rather awkward if one of us wished to go out without the other. Entrance to the suite is via a disused hairdressers? Tends to diminish the ambience of the place. Also there is a long probably once grand staircase to the upstairs suites. As warned, this would not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Second tv in bedroom not connected? No big deal but why is it there?

The suite was large, comfortable and quiet. It was in easy walking distance of the tourist attractions, restaurants etc. The pub across the road was convivial. Checkin was easy.
