I am not a fan of spa bath showers, always scared I’ll slip! From what I can tell, it’s different in different cabins and can appreciate that some people like it and also that it would be costly to replace- it’s a personal preference rather than a problem with the space. We will definitely be back so obviously not a deal breaker!

Very comfy, convenient, esthetically pleasing with period chić on the outside and tastefully contemporary inside. Nurturing and welcoming space and great people running the place. Had the heating going for us on arrival with a welcome note. Bed was sooo comfy. Parking also good. Very clean and well maintained. Property well maintained as well.

The property is on a main highway but it was quiet at night. The shower was a step into a spa bath so difficult if you have mobility issues.

Beautiful cottage with fireplace, fantastic bed and pillows, private and parking onsite. A short drive into town. Highly recommend Bottega Toscana for the best pasta.

I’ve been staying at Clonmara for years and it just keeps getting better and better. Steve and Anna are gracious hosts and the place always feels like home (but better and more comfortable). In fact it’s always a bit of a struggle to get ourselves out in the morning or make our way back into town in the evening for dinner as we just want to curl up in the living room, it’s so cozy. The country house is beautifully appointed, the beds are so comfortable, and the cottages are just perfect if you’re by yourself or with a partner. The most perfect way to experience Port Fairy, Clonmara makes it a place you’ll want to return to again and again.

We were disappointed that all the trees around our cottage had been felled so the view from the balcony and most windows was rather bleak for having been advertised as being located in a garden setting

Great size cottage for two. Very comfy big bed. Well equipped with toaster, microwave , toiletries. Big telly and comfy lounge. Nice gas heater and heating. Nice view from bed over the back area with some alpacas! Lovely fresh furnishings. 4 min drive to main street of town

We really enjoyed our stay in this little cottage. Really comfortable and spacious, and very clean. Quiet location, about 15 min walk into the shops and restaurants. Nice quirk with the alpacas out the back! Would recommend!

Exterior terrace could do with a smarten up.

Spacious cottage set in pleasant gardens, very nicely presented. Immacuately clean. Kitchen had everything needed and air conditioning worked brilliantly. Good location - 15 minute walk to the centre of town. Cottage free standing and separate from other cottages.

We booked Clonmara at short notice as our travel plans changed due to the recent bush fires. However, we were absolutely delighted with our choice of accommodation, and the cottage surpassed our expectations in every way. The cottage has everything you need for your stay including a comfortable lounge, large screen tv, games, books and films. We particularly liked the bed orientation where you look out through glass doors towards the field with alpacas grazing. Our only disappointment was that we couldn't stay longer in Port Fairy, and enjoy the charms of Clonmara.
