Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

AustraliaStaff at desk handed over key without giving the room number. We had to then walk back for the wifi password…. it should be clearly in the room. We had to go back a third time because the wifi would not connect. It connected at the desk but got back to the room and it wouldn’t connect. Staff implied it was dodgy in some rooms. We needed wifi which is one reason we booked with them. Sadly disappointed considering the price. We gave up after that!
Clean room but considering covid, glasses were disgusting. don’t rely on guests to clean. Nice hot water.

AustraliaWe had to wear shoes inside the whole time. The floor felt horrible and sticky. There was a child's small Lego construction on bench near the tea and coffee area. And there was chewing gum, hair and a babies disposable nappy in the bin in the bathroom when we arrived. Made me second guess how clean our room was really????

AustraliaThe customer service was horrible it was as if the guy running the place didnt want to be there and didnt want people staying there, the beds were rubbish, the sheets look like they had been used for years and reused time and time again and had bleach stains. There were no blankets and the blankets they supplied looked like they came from someone's house. The cleanliness of the room was way below par.
