Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Television kept playing up. Refrigerator didn’t keep anything cold,even though it was turned up to MAX when we arrived. Not good when you have insulin that needs to stay cool. Had to keep putting things in the freezer to get them cold.
Location was nice and quiet. Close to shops. Bed was very comfortable

Not so much something I didn't like, more of a suggestion. Maybe a note on how to work the airconditioner/heater? We worked it out so all good :) Also if you have dogs, becareful of the bindis in the back yard.
I couldn't have asked for a more perfect place for our trip! It was just around the corner from my neices home so it was easy for her to walk with the baby to meet his Great Grandparents! The home had so much character and along with everything was was needed for our stay. Thank you Chrissy!

Ran out of hot water but managed to swap over to the second gas bottle. The neighbours out the back made a bit of a ruckus but you can't choose your neighbours. I wouldn't recommend walking around the back yard in bare feet!
The house was all we needed as all we were doing was sleeping there as we spent our days at Tailem Bend wathcing the drags.

Great communication from the host. Easy to find. Comfortable beds. Everything we needed was there including a cold airconditioner which was much appreciated on such a hot weekend.

The garden needs some attention, the back yard and outdoor setting and BBQ needs a good clean up, I wouldn't use the BBQ! Probs give the gutters a clean out too, there are some native weeds growing up there
The home was neat & clean, bed was OK, took our own pillows so can't comment on them! The location was perfect for us, attending the local parkrun just around the corner & down the road & so close to the highway to go back to Tailem Bend!

Blinds on the bedroom windows need replacing, they do very little for privacy or light reduction. Lots of spider encounters, a fumigation would help. Same issues as last time that were reported and not acted on unfortunately.
Location is great, neat and tidy for the most part. Cleaners had forgotten to clean prior to arrival but it was sorted quickly by owner.

Not being able to stay longer.
The size of the unit along with three separate bedrooms were exactly what we wanted for two adults and two children and not get in each other's way. That and the value for money compared to hotels for accommodation of this type is truly worth it.

The TV reception was poor, taps in shower were too low and rose was not adjustable.

The TV was a little pixelated when viewing certain channels, but apart from that, it was perfect for our stay.

Backyard needed a good tidy up and was not at all conducive to spending time outside. Window and fly screens need a good clean. No instructions for appliances, tv etc. It took us ages to remove subtitles off the tv screen.
Quiet street with bakery just around the corner. Good base to explore the area with Monarto Safari Park only 10 minutes away.
