We truly enjoyed our stay at the Desert Garden Hotel, especially thanks to the professionalism and warm hospitality of the staff—Bill, the bartender from Fiji, Stefano from Italy, and our waitress Valentina from Argentina. They all went above and beyond to make us feel cared for. The meals at both restaurants were excellent, with the only exception being the poke bowl, which didn’t quite meet our expectations. Overall, we had a wonderful stay.

Not being able to pay be debit card and having to use credit card. When not enough staff to assist with baggage - the trolleys are not suitable on the uneven paving, and no information given about best access to room to avoid stairs. We were as far from reception as we could be.

The room was far enough away from the noise, the water was hot and the room was spacious. Laundry facilities. The free activities available - we listened to an informative presentation on Bush Tucker.

The management of the hotel restauant is poor. Evening serving staff not friendly and didn't seem to want to be there, red wine spilled when poured and no attempt to clear it up, dinner order was not as we asked, bill presented in grubby cover, no pride. Chaotic morning buffet, pastries were warmer than the bacon and sausage which were cold. Again poor restauant management. Skirting board off wall in bedroom, holes in flyscreen in room. Shame as otherwise lovely hotel with fabulous food in evening.

The chef is very good. The kangaroo steak was exceptional and all evening food was top notch. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and a fantastic view of Uluru. Overall recommended.

Laundry facilities not available. Had to access another resort, 15 walk and only 2 machines so had to go back a few times before able to access. Pool not heated, would have been awesome to have this during the winter!

I think that there is a shortage of waitstaff at the restaurants as the woman who worked our area took a long time to serve food and drinks and to bring requested items like water. Manyof the more interesting activities were scheduled close together and in the morning.

The breakfast was not included with our bookings. The front desk managed to change our rooms to accommodate my mother’s mobility issues, which was of great help since originally our rooms were way in the back. There was a shuttle bus which was free and took passengers to the various hotels and restaurants in the area. The main square, where most of the businesses are located, was within walking distance of the hotel. It seems that all the hotels advertised activities and events at the other hotels, so you were aware of activities in other hotels and most were free.

Room assets. Armchair very uncomfortable and relatively useless. Room too small for price charged. Door stuck and needs looking at .. hard to open and couldn't be shut quietly.

We requested a ground floor room but still had steps to navigate. The garden view was a mountain of red dirt, not quite what I expected.

Clean and comfy room. Comfy bed and pillows. Staff are very helpful and happy to share as much information about the area as you need. The dining experience was lovely at our hotel. Nice outdoor bar area and walking distance to the entire property, shops, pub, and other services. There are plenty of activities around the township during the day and plenty of tourists.

Rooms were clean and the hotel was pretty. Stuff members were very helpful and kind. The menu at the hotel didn't have many options for vegetarians and it was a bit pricy. However, we understand we were getting none local food in the middle of the dessert. In general, everything was very tasty and fresh.
