Very sparse tea/coffee supplies especially no coffee at all,cutlery missing,only one tea towel between the 2 appartments we stayed in as a group and there was no toilet near bedroom so had to navigate the stairs throughout the night not much fun

The Dimplex heater under the TV wasn't very efficient and didn't really heat the room at all ... this really needs to be rectified as it was so cold the Mother's Day weekend ... Would of loved a toilet upstairs for middle of the night use ... but not to be. This will not stop me from staying there next time I am in Maffra ... a very nice stay, well appointed and magnificent views :)

I loved the property ... have stayed alot in booking.com properties and this was one of the best :)

I was so impressed with our accommodation. It was easy to find, straight forward and direct communication meant the property was so easy to access. Upon opening the door, we were blown away! The lounge area was really uncomfortable. The dining furniture was not user friendly at all. High bar table with teetering bar stools was not fun to eat a meal at. We ended up standing. There is no bathroom upstairs which was a pain during the night. The tiled floor in the living space, while I’m sure is convenient for wear and tear, was cold and killed the cozy factor. It really felt like this place was designed as a showpiece and that the owners haven’t actually stayed in it to see if it was welcoming and comfortable. But where it really fell short was the cleanliness. There was a bloody tissue and bandaid in one of the drawers, hair and other unknown detritus in the bath, which was also three legged and propped up on timbers, the shower grout was moulded and there was duct tape around the cable on the kettle. I also didn’t love that the shower amenities were of the refillable variety. I know single use is frowned upon but I don’t want to think about sharing toiletries with previous guests. The commitment to excellence from the owners seems to have stopped after they completed the fit out. While it definitely had wow factor it missed the mark on the fundamentals. Bit of a shame.

The furniture, finishes and fixtures all the way down to the light switches was well executed and charming. The level of detail and obvious effort to nail the rustic aesthetic is commendable. The beds were very comfortable and the complimentary amenities provided were of decent quality.
