Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

New ZealandUnfortunately the chalet was a little untidy. There were spiderwebs in the rooms and spiders and insects in the rooms when we got there. It didn't feel like anyone had gone in there to clean for a while. There was also debris on the deck and on the outdoor seating which could have been cleared for us. Unfortunately for the price we paid I was underwhelmed with how clean the place was.
We enjoyed the scenery and views. The kitchen was well stocked with what we needed. The bath was fantastic! The staff had great energy and I felt very welcomed.

AustraliaOur unit (Hidden Valley) was the furthest away from the fabulous views as it was lower down in the valley and had no views. The place felt like it had been cleaned in a hurry (and not very well), it was crawling with ants, most of the globes weren’t working and the complimentary coffee was missing. The check in happens online, you do not meet your hosts. Maybe that works for this retreat style place but it felt unwelcoming.
The location & the views as you drove into the property and for some of the units

AustraliaWhat looks to have been at some point a truly beautiful resort, now run down and poorly managed. Broken door locks. A dead bat in an aircon unit. And attitude from the manager. Just a few of the issues. Avoid.

AustraliaI really enjoyed the property, Perfect place to disconnect - if you're not looking to disconnect though, just note: there is no signal or internet in some of the chalets..
I loved that the property was located in nature, it was also so stunning, I loved the little bush walk to get to the chalet which would light up at night time. The family who run it are also very caring, responsive and friendly. The bed was comfy as well!

AustraliaIt had mould in the bottom mattress of the bed, the hair dryer zapped my friend and the frying pan wasnt usable. The toilet wouldn't flush properly and the smoke alarm went off randomly. The 2 chalets I booked were not a standard at same level as the price.
The view was exceptional. The flowers and the breakfast provided were a nice touch. The place is spacious and the place has potential.

AustraliaNo dislikes, only to note things.
EcOasis was our heaven after a hellish day where we had gone to another accommodation, and it'd been triple booked, and we had nowhere to stay 4 hours from home and on Easter. But Ria and her family at EcOasis came to our rescue, and as night was looming after spending hours on the phone, trying to find somewhere to sleep. When we heard there was no mobile phone coverage or WiFi connection we were slightly uncertain, but we really did love and benefit from it "mentally" going back to watch countless DVDs available at reception, listening to the rainforest in all its glory, having a quiet drink on the deck and cooking a nice meal with one another without that distraction and addiction that is our mobile phone. We loved the tree house, from the full kitchen to the loungeroom with wall to ceiling windows and a comfy lounge, the deck (bring bushman's bug repellent as to be expected there is mosquitoes, midgies, leeches you are in a rainforest) the warm showers and bath and the especially guaranteed goodnight sleep in the bed. The management is so kind & they provide complimentary bits and bops from all local providers like organic delicious milk for a couple of days stay, granola for an easy brekky, coffee beans from the Roast Office Uki which is delicious even made in a basic coffee plunger, olive oil and more. A very beautiful place, would love to return one day. If you're a bird lover, bring some binoculars and a long lens camera as I'm sure you'll spot some beautiful birds or at least the sounds. NOTE: Remember you're staying in the rainforest in Australia and you must be aware there are mosquitoes, midges, leeches, spiders and ants, I'm sure there are other creepy crawlies Please note that they were not inside the chalet but were outside but it's their home. Phone reception isn't available in a couple of chalets, and this is something we ended up absolutely loving. There is a 60m 1.

AustraliaMaintenance is needed and the place really needs a good clean (inside and out). Black ands have moved in, they are in the ceiling light recesses, vents, and even in the shower. They beat us to the nice pastries that had been thoughtfully put on the bench for our arrival.
It is a nice setting and the idea is lovely. Food provided is nice and tasty and it is nice to support the local industries.

United KingdomAs there is no WiFi in the chalet the owners provide DVDs but it might be worth updating the collection as they are mostly very old films.
The most incredible stay and location. So secluded and peaceful, completely immersed in nature. The view of Mt Warung was beautiful. The chalet itself was beautifully decorated, comfortable and cosy. The kitchen is well equipped and bathroom has lovely toiletries. It is the perfect getaway / escape into nature. Although secluded, only a short drive to shops, coffee, restaurants etc if you do need anything.
