The accommodation is set on a country property only a short drive from town. Was very peaceful sitting on the deck listening to the wildlife and feeding the chickens. Hosts were always friendly and even though the accommodation is attached to the main house, they always kept to themselves. Breakfast provisions were great which included home grown eggs and honey. The bed was super comfy and cosy. There were little added bonuses and extras like an extension lead and as I wasn't home till after dark some nights, Sarah came in and turned on a light for me. I would definitely recommend a stay at Figtree Cottage. I will be if I need to stay in Yeppoon again.

Sarah, the hostess, has put so much thought into making guests welcome in her home. Although the kitchen and deck are shared areas, they do a brilliant job of disappearing to the background to give the visitors the full benefit. The home is lovely, and the bedroom and bathroom used for homestay are very warm and welcoming. Sitting on the deck this morning with the two chickens was a joy, and the garden views are very relaxing. Sarah has plenty of recommendations for local restaurants, which worked very well for us Will definitely return if we target a visit to Great Keppel Island in the summertime

We liked everything. Sarah and Clint make you feel at home, they opened their home for our use. Breakfast and extras were exceptional. The eggs from their hens were large and lovely. They provided fresh honey harvested from their bees. We stayed four nights and could have stayed four more.

It was a great place to stay although I would have liked an ensuite toilet and bathroom, but my host explained why this couldn't happen (due to the vicinity of the creek)

One of the fire alarms kept going off randomly during the night which woke us a few times, but it was not a big deal and the issue was resolved quickly. There is also no private toilet/bathroom for the room meaning you have to go through the shared kitchen to get to the toilet/shower if you need to use it. This was no issue for us but could be for others in the future.

We enjoyed a lovely stay at Fig Tree cottage and would recommend it to anyone wanting a special night away immersed in nature and hosted by lovely locals. We stayed in the room with the private entrance next to the deck with steps to the hot tub. Our room was lovely and our host went above and beyond with the little extra special details such as robes, snacks. We also loved that we were given fresh eggs, home grown honey and enjoyed the breakfast very much. We especially enjoyed the chickens roaming around freely while we enjoyed coffee on the deck, and the fairy lights turning up the night time charm whilst soaking in the hot tub. We will definitely be back and thank you so much!

Figtree Cottage is set in a beautiful place - picturesque, peaceful, private and oh so comfortable. Our hosts, Sarah and Clint, catered for every little thing to make our stay memorable. We highly recommend this piece of paradise.

The location was fabulous, only 8km from central Yeppoon on a private paradise. The bed was very comfortable, the room was not short on space, with aircon, and had an adjacent loungeroom for relaxing. The adjacent loungeroom had a small fridge, desk, table and chairs, sofa, and tv to watch your favourite apps. Wifi is also included in the stay. The outdoor area had a table and chairs on a large decked area, as well as another outdoor lounge area on the sheltered patio where you could take in the peaceful surroundings. An outdoor sheltered spa approx 15 metres from the house was perfect for an evening of relaxation after a day of sight-seeing etc. Use of their large and modern kitchen was available for cooking. Fresh eggs provided for brekky from the resident chooks, along with jams, cereal, and home-produced honey. The hosts, Sarah and Clint, were extremely hospitable and made sure we felt comfortable and at home. We took some of their suggestion on board regarding the local eating places and were not disappointed........the venue that does an unbelievable cheese platter you won't forget. You'll need to ask the hosts about this. A lot of thought and effort has gone into the decor, and into making sure their guests have everything they need for an enjoyable stay.
