Very close to Port Arthur. Best of all was the quality and choice of meals. Great view from the unit. A bit dated but the location, meals and friendly staff make up for it.

The wood fire in the pub was excellent, I enjoyed the Tudor style of the building. Lovely windows and view over the ocean.

Bed was bit tired. Needs replacing. Rain was loud as appears gutters where overflowing outside our window.

No outdoor lighting. Very unsafe of a night trying to park in the dark and access rooms upstairs in the dark. Definitely a risk hazard. Don’t think the floor has ever been cleaned under the vanity.

No issues at all for us.

The room was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. We had excellent views of the water and trees. The food in the pub was good value and had good sized portions. The two staff members we encountered were friendly, polite and attentive. We also enjoyed a couple of drinks by the log fire in the pub. We observed a number of negative reviews about the Fox and Hounds, but we are all positive on it. I wonder if some people wanted, or were expecting, a 5 star experience for 3 star prices.

Would have been nice to use the restaurant.

The location was excellent. We arrived late and in the dark. Didn't see any staff members but those on the phone were polite and helpful.

Restaurant had no atmosphere they wanted people in and out.

Great location. My room window looked out onto a beautiful bay. Birds chirping in the morning and very peaceful and quiet.

Only found out a couple of days before arrival that bistro and bar was closed. Carpet on the floor would make the room more cosy, it felt cold and the bed moved.

Location was perfect for the night I stayed. Beautiful outlook from the room.

The pub was being renovated, so there was no access to the restaurant or bar, which was a shame as this was the reason we booked to stay

We booked the accommodation to get the full experience from their bar & restaurant as well so didn't have to go out. When we arrived we found out the restaurant & bar were closed, nothing was said to us about this in any form of communication. We went around to our room, had to go up the stairs & along the deck, which were really slippery from the dew, unsafe. Very disappointed & wont be back. Value for money was horrible.

The hotel's bar and restaurant were closed for renovations (not notified).

The room was basic but comfortable. We were close to the Port Arthur site which was our reason for being here. Bottle water was supplied as the water supply wasn't suitable for drinking.

Went to restaurant for dinner, ordered the special of the night and very disappointed. could use a good chef and more staff

Being in Port Arthur accommodation is limited. The room was old and the ceiling light has missing shades. Funny set up with shower toilet in one room and opposite the basin and fridge. we had a room with view over the river but the people walking past could see in.

We were told when we got there that the restaurant and bar were closed for renovations. Surely we could have received a notification of this.
