That the kitchen closes at 7:30 PM we got back from our ghost tour at 7:43 PM and couldn't get anything to eat.

We chose the fox and hound due to its proximity to the Port Arthur Historic Site. Room was clean and comfortable, had a great view overlooking the Bay. the main Tavern Short distance from the room, serving lunch and dinner. We had the roast for lunch, delicious and huge serving, I felt bad I couldn't eat it all. Be aware that the kitchen closes 7:30 pm and No breakfast available, so make sure you take your own food. However they do provide take away coffees in the mornings.

Very close to Port Arthur. Best of all was the quality and choice of meals. Great view from the unit. A bit dated but the location, meals and friendly staff make up for it.

Bathrooms were a little outdated.

The wood fire in the pub was excellent, I enjoyed the Tudor style of the building. Lovely windows and view over the ocean.

Bed was bit tired. Needs replacing. Rain was loud as appears gutters where overflowing outside our window.

No outdoor lighting. Very unsafe of a night trying to park in the dark and access rooms upstairs in the dark. Definitely a risk hazard. Don’t think the floor has ever been cleaned under the vanity.

No issues at all for us.

The room was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. We had excellent views of the water and trees. The food in the pub was good value and had good sized portions. The two staff members we encountered were friendly, polite and attentive. We also enjoyed a couple of drinks by the log fire in the pub. We observed a number of negative reviews about the Fox and Hounds, but we are all positive on it. I wonder if some people wanted, or were expecting, a 5 star experience for 3 star prices.

Would have been nice to use the restaurant.

The location was excellent. We arrived late and in the dark. Didn't see any staff members but those on the phone were polite and helpful.

Restaurant had no atmosphere they wanted people in and out.

Great location. My room window looked out onto a beautiful bay. Birds chirping in the morning and very peaceful and quiet.

Toilet is without heater so is rather cold.

Only found out a couple of days before arrival that bistro and bar was closed. Carpet on the floor would make the room more cosy, it felt cold and the bed moved.

Location was perfect for the night I stayed. Beautiful outlook from the room.

The pub was being renovated, so there was no access to the restaurant or bar, which was a shame as this was the reason we booked to stay

The reason we chose this hotel was for the onsite restaurant........which was closed for renos

The view from the room was amazing, absolutely stunning. The guy on reception was really lovely and super helpful, especially when there was a few hiccups.

Very cold, inefficient heating, cold floor needed mat, restaurant closed and were not told before we got there, bed not too comfortable
