Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Each room didn’t not have clean linen and bed sheets. The sheets gave an Oder that was hard to sleep on without placing our own towels over it. It seemed like this linen had not been professionally cleaned. I get that we asked for an earlier check in and appreciate that, however the standard in linen was below average and unacceptable. Also wash room on the beds only has a sheet and one thin cover. And given how cold it was in Melbourne, I expected more. The nights were cold and sleep was very uncomfortable. The lounge had stains on it and I have photos to show. The dining table of 8 only had 7 chairs and the utensils along with dishes in the kitchen was far from accessible. For what I paid, I really expected more!!
It was nice and big however that’s the only upside of this property.

They didn’t provide any kind of body soap, shampoo etc. this property has provided only 1 hand towel in bathroom, they said 1 hand towel and 1 face towel but face towel you even can’t use as a face towel. Washing machine was there but no Dryer. Even in the kitchen not enough utensils like big pot to boil something for 6 people. Luckily we got our own toiletries like soap and shampoo and everything with us. Also they have mentioned there will be a air conditioner but it was only in the lounge not in the bedrooms, if they don’t have AC in the bedrooms they should mention it. So disappointed.

Wasn't the house we booked, host rang and said house we booked wasn't available and had to stay at one of her other houses an hour before check in. It was further away from where we wanted. The kitchen was disgraceful, not clean no air-conditioning which was advertised as having stove didn't work clotheshorse falling to pieces

* An abundance of mosquitoes and a general lack of cleanliness * Dusty surfaces and unclean kitchen utensils * A BBQ that had not been cleaned * An oven/grill that was filthy * Disgusting towels provided the lack of cleanliness, particularly in the carpets, lounge, and dining chairs, caused some of our family members to become ill.

What I didn’t like was the way the staff charged me double the price. When I booked the property, it’s stated that it was for 12 people but then she called me and ask me how many people are coming and I told her that it was myself and two other friends. She then said that it will cost $180 each person. So I paid her extra $360 for 2 people after the payment online of $1060. So I want know why it says 12 people on the property online and then, I’m charged again per person? I paid that second amount because she said she wasn’t going to give me the keys if I don’t pay that amount…

Had the "wow" feeling when we walked into the house. Spacious, comfortable, homely, and modern. The kitchen was great and ample room in living areas. Had all the needed facilities. Good value for money. We would love to stay again and will definitely recommend it to our friends.

I didn’t like that it was advertised to have a spa and sauna and it didn’t. But after speaking with the owner it was the write up from another house for this one. It was a bit disappointing.
I loved how open the property was, being in a power wheelchair, I could access almost every room. I would recommend this house to anyone that is in a wheelchair that can transfer to a commode as the ensuite was big enough to fit mine and the master was MASSIVE with a king bed. But almost wheelchair accessible. I love how many people can stay together here. Great for a family get away or in my case the night before my wedding with my bridal party. It was a beautiful house to spend the first night as a married couple in.

Just the garden outside needs to be attended to
Loved the space inside kids loved it. Didn't want to leave when the time came. Definately will come again
