Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaTanya was super helpful and friendly. The Pea Pod was ideal for us as a couple, with amazing views. It was cosy, clean, and everything we needed. It's sustainability and eco friendly approach was right up our alley. We will definitely be making Hobart Hideaway Pods our first choice for accommodation next time we visit the area.

AustraliaEarlier advice on the check-in would be good.
The view is terrific. And having pademelons bouncing around on the lawn and birds in the bushes created a great atmosphere.

AustraliaThe only downside for me was not having a comfortable chair to sit in to read. There are two chairs in the pod and although they look very nice, they are not comfortable to sit in for any length of time.
Loved the pod itself and it's situated in a beautiful location. The view is amazing. The front of the pod opens up completely and would be lovely in summer however I kept everything closed up as it was the middle of winter. Tanya is a wonderful host. The heating and the lights were left on for my arrival and a delicious slice was left in the fridge.

AustraliaWe loved our stay in the Vanilla Pod. Very comfortable. Warm. Great hot shower! The view is out of this world and so special morning and night. Quiet. Tucked away. A little oasis away from the norm. We adored all the wildlife surrounding us. And Tanya is an attentive friendly host.

AustraliaNothing to not like. Simple living in a gorgeous countryside place.
Everything was to like. Location was exactly what I wished for, countryside/bush life near Kingston township and beaches. Birdlike, animals, but best of all was the serenity of not being in a town or city. Fresh air to breathe, natural beauties to appreciate, and also meeting Tanya (host) and enjoying our chats. I had been eyeing this place for a few years for a stay and it absolutely ticked all of the boxes. I really did not want to leave, four nights weren't enough there.

AustraliaHaving to leave the relaxing ambience.
The serenity, the privacy in a hidden away gem. Waking up to fully front glass windows over looking the view was breathtaking. Seeing the native birds and animals on your front door step, morning and night was quite a beautiful experience. The owners were lovely and are all about being sustainable and caring for our environment, which is such an important reminder to us all as we continue to travel around this beautiful country.

AustraliaLimited cutlery and crockery and cleaning up is a bit challenging without a sink I would suggest a couple of microwave dishes so guests can cook up a meal in microwave if staying in for the night
So close to Kingston beach, shops and sports centre but feels like you’re in the bush - waking up to the birds and the cute pademelons in the grounds

AustraliaCouldn't fault it for a relaxing few days.
The Pea Pod is set amongst beautiful gardens with a lovely rural aspect. Loved that the pademelons came to visit at dusk each night. The owner made us very welcome. Only 10 minutes drive from Kingston though it feels like a country holiday.

AustraliaThere is nothing to dislike.
A lovely hostess greeting with a sweet treat in the fridge upon arrival. The Pod had everything needed from king bed and organic products to more thoughtful ideas of tuba games, dominoes, and pick-up sticks. Can't recommend this lovely farmlet with a beach view enough to just regather oneself.

AustraliaNothing! It was perfect
Staying at Hobart Hideaway Pods felt like a magical escape – central to Hobart yet completely immersed in nature. Tanya, the host, was incredibly warm and welcoming. Watching the wildlife from the pod was unforgettable: playful pademelons, vibrant birdlife, flitting butterflies, and buzzing bees. The goats added a charming touch, captivating us for hours. We loved the cozy warmth of the eco-cabins and the breathtaking views.
