Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaThe two storey apartment was as described, clean and comfortable in a good location within walking distance of the town, lighthouse and blowhole. There was a steep driveway but that was expected so didn't prove too difficult (only if you have mobility issues). Good to have a balcony with a sea view. Very good correspondence from host prior to arrival. We really enjoyed our stay.

AustraliaMy friend and I stayed 3 nights during the Kiama Jazz and Blues Festival. Property was clean, comfortable, modern and well equipped. It is bright and breezy and we especially enjoyed the lovely views over Kiama and the ocean. During our stay the complex was quiet and we had restful sleeps. Communication with the host was efficient and very pleasant. Tracy (our host) even arranged to post back my mobile phone charger after I accidentally left it behind! Property is centrally located and across the road from the main shopping centre for groceries etc. Easy access to walk around town. From reading the reviews and description I knew that the property had a steep driveway to enter and exit the property. Whilst this was not ideal for me at the time with an injured knee it was doable and the views from the top balcony were worth it! If you are going to complain about this like others have, then don't book as it is well documented! Overall a great stay and I would stay again should the opportunity arise.

AustraliaTV was a bit sporadic and dropped out occasionally. Driveway is steep but ok for anyone with reasonable mobility and fitness level. Garage not suitable for our 4wd. Milk pods in the fridge were 2 months out of date which was surprising considering how tidy and clean the place was
Fantastic two storey beautifully renovated town house conveniently located within walking distance to shops, cafes, local landmarks and restaurants. Bedding was very comfortable with high quality linen. Communication from the owner was timely and easy to understand. Highly recommend Kiama Palms on Terralong

AustraliaSteep driveway to unit.
Very large, clean apartment in a great location. The two spacious bedrooms and well-equipped kitchen provide everything needed for a comfortable stay. The host was proactive and provided clear instructions and directions for easy access to the apartment. I would highly recommend this apartment for anyone planning a stay in Kiama.

AustraliaOnly thing the host could’ve improved is to provide a bigger clothes horse or a dryer. As we were swimming every day and did some washing it wasn’t big enough to dry everything in the humidity. We had to take washing to the laundromat to dry, which isn’t the end of the world but was expensive. Out of the host’s control was the neighbours - We got the sense they don’t like guests as one neighbour came outside every time we left the property to watch us, which made us feel uncomfortable. Another time we shut the windows around 7:30am and the neighbour banged loudly on the wall. This made us a little self conscious of our toddler’s noise from then on but weren’t being unreasonably loud so didn’t worry too much. Having read the description and reviews we hired a smaller car but our rental company gave us a 4wd instead. We struggled to park in the visitor’s car park (wouldn’t fit in the garage) but made it work. This meant we had to walk up the hill, which would be hard with mobility issues.
Tracy was a fantastic, responsive host and very accommodating. We had a lovely stay here. The property was clean and comfortable, great quality bedsheets and towels, simple kitchenware and a nice balcony to watch the sunset. We stayed four nights with our 2.5 year old and found it was large enough for us to relax and play. Location is fantastic - it’s across the road from the supermarket and within walking distance from shops and cafes. This was great with a toddler. You can even take a longer walk down to the blow hole if you’re up to it. We used Kiama as a base and took trips to Jervis Bay, Gerringong and Berry.

AustraliaMore Wine glasses and Champagne glasses. There were two of each and as we were there for a wedding. We had some pre-drinks before we left and had to drink French Champagne from wine glasses and water glasses. Wouldn't hurt to buy more wine and champagne glasses as it had everything else one would need.
Please was very clean. It had air-conditioning and the beds were super comfy too. Walking distance to everything. Supermarket across the road and secure parking on-site plus visitor parking too

AustraliaThe garage was a little small for our middle-sized SUV, but a smaller vehicle would fit in well. Being on a steep driveway, walking from the entrance to the accommodation would be difficult for the unfit or elderly. Of course, you wouldn’t need to walk if your car fits in the garage.
The aesthetically - pleasing interior was so relaxing and pleasing. Almost - new appliances in the kitchen, were working very well. The living area had a lovely view with comfy furniture . One toilet on each floor was very practical for three adults. Spacious bathroom as well as a separate powder room/ laundry was very practical. With fresh and appealing bedroom linen and furniture, our stay was wonderful; with the three of us agreeing that we will be back. With a relatively new shopping centre across the road, it made it very easy to get any groceries, or take away meals.

AustraliaNo dislikes - Kiama is a great place as is all of the South Coast of New South Wales.
A very nice two bedroom accommodation in reverse, i.e.. bedrooms and bathroom downstairs with lounge, dining area and kitchen upstairs along with another toilet. The units on the property are located on the side of a hill which allows for a great view over Kiama and the ocean from the upstairs balcony and windows. the facility was clean and tidy throughout with excellent beds, blankets towels for downstairs. Upstairs was the necessary facilities to feed oneself and entertain with games, books and television in a very comfortable environment. The Main street of is located directly to the front of the property and a very short walk puts you into the heart of Kiama, with excellent shopping and culinary delights every ten paces.
