Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PolandA/C might require some maintenance, as it is a bit noisy...
Great place to start exploring Kings Canyon. Also, an excellent location to do night sky photos (no light pollution!). The breakfast will provide you with enough energy to continue your travel for the next hours. The personnel are very nice, provide all the necessary information concerning outback traveling.

AustraliaOverall, I had a wonderful stay. The only challenge was that during my visit, nature brought some strong gusty winds. Since the structure is a luxury tent, at times it felt like it might lift, though it stayed completely secure and safe. I’d recommend bringing earplugs for a restful night’s sleep. Aside from that, everything was fantastic
This stay is definitely for adventure or romance seekers. It’s located about 4.5 km from Kings Creek Station, with stunning views of the George Gill Ranges right from your bedroom. Each tent has its own private BBQ and fire 🔥 pit area, and the star gazing here is absolutely incredible. Just make sure to bring enough food and meat 🍖for the BBQ, as the closest shop is about 40 km away.

AustraliaAlcohol is extremely overpriced but there isn't anywhere else to buy it. I would suggest buying in Alice Springs if you're driving from there, also remembering that you can't buy take away alcohol in Alice everyday.
Permanent tent style accommodation, with air conditioning and camp kitchen, close to Kings Canyon.

New ZealandWe found it hard to find the entrance to the cabins, which was an un-signposted driveway 2.5km drive away from the reception and cafe entrance, so we had dinner first, as we had to order before 6.30pm. Once we found the carpark, we found it hard to find our room in the dark, and it was a long way from the carpark. Then we found it hard to lug our bags to the room. In the morning, we found there were trolleys in the carpark to help move bags, but the person at reception did not tell us about them, and we could not see them in the dark once we got there. The breakfast was ok, but we didn't get there till about 9am as we were out taking sunrise photos beforehand. By that time there was only white bread left, which i can't eat, and there was not much of anything else left. The room rate was also quite pricey
The 'glam' tent-like rooms were cozy, spacious and comfortable. We were pleasantly surprised to find a heat pump on when we arrived in the room after dinner. The included dinner was for just a main course, but that was enough I had the fish and my husband had the seafood. Both were very nice.It was great to be able to get proper espresso coffee here too, although you had to pay extra for that. I loved seeing the camels there too.

AustraliaNeeded a small broom so that you could sweep up the red dust. The cost to purchase bottled water at the store there is exorbitant. Free bottle of water on arrival would be handy as you can't drink the tap water.
Stayed in a little permanent tent with 2 single beds. An air conditioner unit inside kept the place warm during the night. Toilet, shower and kitchen facilities are on different buildings. It would not suit elderly people but I would stay again.

United KingdomStaff very friendly. Food is decent but you are on a station so set your expectations lower. Bush tents give the best of camping but in a bed. Bathroom clean and showers hot. Air con in the tent. Good spot to explore kings canyon and relax after the day. Fuel available too.

United KingdomThe buffet breakfast logistics could be improved. On two days we found ourselves queuing with a large number of guests, part of a coach group having breakfast. The resort should either advise resident guests of times to avoid (due to those large groups having breakfast) or possibly provide allocated spaces for people like us who were not part of those groups and simpy wanted to have breakfast without joining a long queue.
Great location for Kings Canyon, friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere, decent breakfast in the morning and dinner options (we chose the half board when booking), comfortable bed and large bathroom (lovely toiletries). Great option for "glamping" :-)

AustraliaCamp kitchen could have been better ( no stove top, cramped in kettle/fridge/toaster area, lights came on a fair bit after it was too dark to see- had to use a torch). Seemed expensive for what we got ( tent with a choice of either being cold or having a noisey rcac)

AustraliaWe love everything. The only suggestion would be Double bed option in the tents.
It’s an amazing place a few minutes from the amazing King’s Canyon. We stayed in one of the bush tents and it was a beautiful experience. The campground kitchen has everything you need and it’s very clean. Fire pits are allowed. Staff was very helpful and responsive. We really recommend this place.

United KingdomBe aware that the cafe/restaurant closes quite early - 6.30 I think when we stayed. Rather than rush we decided to buy bbq food at the shop and cook our own. This wasn't too expensive but if we had been better organized we would have bought stuff from a supermarked en route.
Stayed in a 'bush tent' which was clean and simple with electricity and aircon (used for heating rather than cooling!). There is a camp kitchen with fridge, storage space, crockery and a couple of bbqs and a shared fire pit. Nice atmosphere with other campers in the evening. Really good cooked breakfast! Kings canyon is beautiful.
