Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaI didn't personally mind it, but there is no TV, kettle, or microwave in the room. But you can go into the main area to make coffee, toast or heat something in the microwave at any time. Bring a good book for the evenings here. It's the perfect atmosphere for it
The staff were really friendly and easygoing. They have a beautiful dog named Gus. There are enough toilets/showers for rooms. Sharing shouldn't be a problem. It was nice and quiet, with wallabies and quolls right on the property. The breakfast was basic, but just fine to start the day.

AustraliaGood location in woodland and close to the lake. The room was clean and the bed warm and comfy. Food at the bar was really good - we had pizza and the loaded garlic bread. Good selection of draught beers too. Breakfast was good with cereal, toast & jam tea, coffee etc

AustraliaWould have been nice to have a TV in the bedroom or at least in a lounge or the dining area instead of just in the bar.
Location was lovely and peaceful not too far off the Highway. Room and linen nice and clean. Mattress was fantastic. Best bed we slept in for our entire Tassie trip. Shared toilets and showers older but very clean. Continental breakfast but did the job (included in price so an added bonus). Wifi via satelite. Hosts and patrons in pub all super friendly and welcoming. Meals were great.

AustraliaThe echoing noise from the public areas and the clunking on the wooden floors from the noisy guests next door.
Lovely Inn in a secluded place. The staff were excellent. The premises were beautiful. Unfortunately the noise howled through the halls from the Bar and Restaurant. The floors are beautiful but timber and the noise from adjacent rooms was very disturbing. But overall it was a lovely place and I would book again.

AustraliaThe dull lighting in the dining room made it hard to see, especially for older people like myself with dodgy eyesight.
Quiet and away from the hubbub. Down to earth and made you feel at home, showed us the run of things then up to us. Any problems only needed to ask. Gus the St Bernard , what a star.

AustraliaDinner available, we enjoyed a very tasty steak, the proprietor advised us he used to be a butcher and is particular about the meat he provides. An adéquate self serve breakfast included in the overnight charge. Bed and room clean and comfortable, shared bathrooms (no ensuites), Out of the way destination but easy to find, a couple of km from the main road, down a well maintained dirt road.

AustraliaStayed two nights - on second night there was a baby in the room next door that cried intermittently throughout the night. Thin walls made for an interrupted sleep.
A bit off the beaten track in a rustic rural setting - very quiet. Useful if you were interested in fishing. Though I didn't have a meal at the bar, the bar area seemed pretty lively and fun if you like that sort of thing. Room was large (beds and a sideboard only, so pretty basic). Bathroom area had lovely hot showers. Everything very clean. Plenty of parking too.
