Had a flight cancelled and booked maybe the last available room in the CBD. The gent at reception was polite and helpful.

Facilities were not clean, including a toilet blocked with waste. Someone came into my room as I was going to sleep and then exited when they saw me there but they clearly had a key that worked. The boards in the hallway creaked loudly all through the night as people walked across them.

The location was convenient and close to transport and shopping centre. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the social atmosphere made it easy to meet other travelers.

Hostel vibe was ruined by one long-term older guest acting like she owns the room. Complaining about people chatting (can't even before 10pm on weekend), about windows, about everything – honestly, hostels are for social travelers, not for people who can’t handle normal noise. Unless management addresses this, the “youth hostel” vibe just isn’t there.

I went to 4 hostels in Sydney and I liked this place the most. The price is the cheapest near the city, the facilities are clean, it's a little cheaper if you make a reservation at the reception, and if you extend it by 7 days, there's more discount. I was curious about other hostels, but I decided to stay here longer because the receptionists were kind and all the friends I stayed with were nice and had a family-like atmosphere. Most of the guests here are long-term guests. I think it's because they feel the same satisfaction as I feel. I hope I can build more good memories in this hostel. I would appreciate any help you can give me :)

Everything was generally very enjoyable

There was one small insect in the bed. Not sure what tho.

Really good safe environment, great for backpackers

It had a nice homely feel, it was great to see staff cleaning more than once a day. The amenities such as free tea and coffee, playstation and events each night felt like really good value for money.

The atmosphere, location and staff here are great. I have stayed in many hostels around Sydney and have never felt as welcome in any other hostel. It's located near glebe which has many restaurants and cafes as well as markets, and Broadway shopping mall where you can get cheap groceries. The hostel has social events almost everyday which makes it easy to get to know others. It's just a great place, and I can't recommend it enough!

Events every night, clean, friendly staff

Loved my stay here! The location is absolutely perfect right near Victoria Park which is awesome for morning walks or just chilling. The hostel itself is super comfy, with clean rooms and cozy beds. Public transport is super easy to access, so getting around the city was no problem at all. There's a great vibe here too everyone’s friendly and it’s really easy to meet people. The common areas are chill and always buzzing, but not too loud. It feels like a home away from home. Definitely recommend it if you're looking for a fun, well located, and comfortable place to stay.

Lovely hostel with great travel links to all the main attractions you want to see. Also really enjoyed the events that are on each day of the week which are a great bonus considering how good the prices are. The staff were all really friendly and helpful which was nice as I was traveling on my own. If its your first time in Sydney as a solo traveller I highly recommend!

I really liked the friendly atmosphere and the staff, everyone was super welcoming and helpful! It's a great place for meeting other travelers. Location is perfect too, close to public transport and lots of cool places to explore in Sydney. Bonus points for the room and wifi!

Honestly nothing!

The hostel is in a great location, with a beautiful park opposite with a lovely 50m outdoor swimming pool. There is also access to a free gym with the hostel which is a great perk. There is also an Aldi and Coles less than 5 minutes away, making it easy to run to the shops for dinner or lunch. The staff are super friendly and there are always events going on at the hostel, creating a very sociable atmosphere. I have loved staying here and when I visit Sydney again, this would be my top pick as feels like a home away from home!
