Fridge wasn’t working and we couldn’t prepare a meal. Not sure about the shower as we didn’t use it. No where to put clothes.

Good location. Close to beach and shops. Reasonably quiet once the traffic settled. Bed was comfortable and room basic but clean. Owner very friendly and helpful.

Location wise it was close to the beach but a little hard to spot from the road.

Phil was lovely to talk too, very helpful. Facilities were clean and tidy. Wifi was good.

Checking time online that said you can check in from 11 am so we picked 11am but couldn't as the room was not ready yet as it is too close with the check out time which is 10am. ?Maybe needs change to check in time to a time not too close to check out time so that when people come in they can get their room. Owner said we can come in and sit somewhere in the hostel while getting our room ready which is nice, we were just tired from a long drive and want to lay and rest. Anyway, we returned and checked in after 2pm and our room was ready.

Homey vibes and airy. The double room we stayed in was clean, roomy and bed was comfortable. The place is surrounded by trees and gives it a foresty relaxing vibe. Kitchen is clean and functional to cook your own meals. Fridge is clean and decent size. Owners are friendly and so is their fur girl Layla. They have a washing machine, you only have to ask before using it as you are someone's home. We washed our clothes and hang them after we asked. Our first stay in a hostel and we get to meet a few new people in a weeks' stay which is interesting.

No soap, didn’t see towels and had no shower as a result, mattress to thin my hips were sore on waking. Bunk bed was uncomfortable no milk for tea and coffee

I booked a bed in a 4-bed dormitory, with fan. The dormitory is large enough, so you do not feel packed at all. The bed is a bunk bed, large enough, with a fair enough good mattress. For this dorm (and the entire hostel), as a male, you have access to 1 shower, 1 toilet, 1 sink. All were clean. You also have access to a fully equipped kitchen, without oven. The common space is nice. The place is a local charmful house, hence it has more the feeling of a guest house than a proper hostel. The WiFi is good. 500m away from main beach. 1km away from Woolworths / Coles supermarket. 2km away from Greyhound / Premier Motor Service bus stop. The owner, Phil, is very chilled and friendly. I would definitely recommend this place for a short or a long stay.

All aspects are appreciated except for the proprietor. I am deeply grateful for any assistance extended to me. However, the manner in which he attempts to aid is peculiar and somewhat assertive. While it is acknowledged that he is entitled to a bonus from all tour guides, a more composed approach is encouraged.

The property isn’t locked up so technically anyone can come in and out. It’s a converted house, which is fine of course and makes it cosy, but we felt like we walked into the sitting room in the evening and intruded a little. Windows were all open to air out the room, so a few mozzies, but luckily we didn’t get bitten too much

Luckily because the door was unlocked, we were able to drop our bags off before our day out. A comfortable bed made for a good nights sleep. Cute room and nice vibes.

The ladies bathroom wasn’t very clean; The hostel stays open 24/7 so anyone (and anything: possum for example) could have access inside anytime so it doesn’t feel completely safe, but nothing has happened to us.

The place is at a very good position near the beach and few shops; The hostel has nice vibes, different from others; Phil, the owner, is one in a million and his dog is very sweet.

The owner gave it a slightly strange vibe, nothing was lockable- all doors left open all night. I’m not sure I would want to stay here if I was a solo female traveller.

The place was really pretty, well decorated and the beds were comfy. It was also a nice small vibe so could get to know the other people staying there!
