It’s a pity owner provided plenty of candles to light up for our dinner table but did not provide us with matchsticks or lighter. Rooms are not equipped with aircon warmers hence it’s rather cold but living room is warm and fuzzy. Very comfortable! Entrance to the house is complete darkness. It will be good to have some solar powered lights at the entrance to guide your guests into the backyard which leads to the door. We had to use our torch from our phones each night when we return.

Matilda’s of Kangaroo Island is the best accommodation of our entire Adelaide holiday by far. It’s not the biggest home we had stayed but it’s the most cosy and comfortable accommodation we love to stay. Every room is complete with cosy beds. Simple but sufficient. We love the layout of the living room. It caters just so much for our family of 9 with Netflix access given with compliments and 2 TV hall with one for the young ones to watch their own programs and another main hall for the old folks to entertain. Kitchen is complete with whatever you need for cooking. Truly amazing to cook here in this house. There are 2 toilets for 9 of us which is sufficient. There’s outdoor furniture with BBQ for the winter. It’s also just few minutes walk into Baudin Beach to view the perfect sunset! It’s accessible to Penneshaw within 10 mins drive and certainly most convenient to reach out for dining which is very limited in Kangaroo island.

Very well equipped house! I couldn’t think of something I missed, not in the kitchen or elsewhere. All very nice, modern with style. Even the cutlery and plates.

The bbq was a bit dirty. The noise in the pipes was loud when someone was having a shower. We had trouble with the oven gas top, one of the rings wasn’t working properly, but is fixed now I think.

The location is 2 minutes walk to the Beach. The well thought out design of the house, 2 separate living areas, lovely deck with tables and chairs and couches. Beautiful kitchen with modern appliances, comfortable beds, wonderful showers, loved the ensuite.

Parking could have been better.

Comfortable beds, cleanliness, nice touches like bubble bath and pods for coffee. Games, books, chairs for the beach. It was a lovely stay.

Nothing…only suggestion would be a clothes airer for any rainy days. There was a dryer but some clothes don’t suit dryers. That’s the only thing I could have done with.

Home presented very well, clean, comfortable and the home was well equipped. Very nice to have a lovely place to return to after sight seeing. One of the nicest places I’ve stayed … will return in future.

The house is a big four bedrooms house, very clean & beautiful presentations. Big kitchen.😍 The beach is just a few steps away. It’s the best holiday house I’ve been in.👍

Beautiful home with everything you could possibly want. The two lounge areas was fantastic as it allowed the kids/pre-teens their own space after a day of exploring the island. The beach was easily accessible and had the best sunset. We had the best time.

The poor management of the property: from knee length grass ( and we saw a tiger snake on our walk), dirty windows, spider webs inside and out, along with the dirty underwear of the previous guests. Perhaps the cleaner needs more time for general cleaning and maintenance.

The house had everything you needed to make it a comfortable stay.
