    The only highlight of the stay was the evening meal. The restaurant meal was very good. The soup of the day was delicious and the very hot wedges hit the spot on a cold night.

    Lots of things- looks like trying to streamline and it is showing- very unreliable elevators, asked to use the staffing elevators as there was only one elevator working out of three for customers. Waited a very long time to get the elevator back down to reception area over 10 minutes. No mini bar or snacks in the room and then they ask to leave card details for what was it - nothing - nothing to purchase in the room- no mini bar or snacks! Black mould in the bathroom shower area- no frills here. Room wasn't serviced very well either- we moved the couch so that we could watch the television straight on and there were food and crumbs under the couch. Master light switch turned off everything from lighting to the heating, no lights over the bed- they were there but no switch to turn them on. We have stayed here before and last time was also disappointing. We wont be back.

    3 out of 5 lifts not operating and took multiple request for staff to allow access to stairwells. Staff didn’t really seem to be making an effort to make customers a priority.

    It was a basic cheap room, but the room was more spacious than other hotels, and the room service food was delicious and good. Pasta was also delicious. And the restaurant on the 3rd floor also had wonderful food and delicious food. And I was moved by the kindness of the elderly male employee.

    It was uncomfortable with the shower attached. It would have been more perfect with the shower cord.

    It's always great staying here, close to everything.

    We should have had our room serviced while we were out, but it didn't happen, so no coffee refills and no milk.

    We had requested a room with a view if possible and away from the lifts. This was met to a point. The buffet breakfast provided variety, nutritional options and great coffee

    Our view was lack lustre due to the pool undergoing refurbishment. Unfortunately, there were issues with the lifts causing delays

    Rooms were clean. Beds were comfortable. Food was nice and atmosphere was nice. Walking distance to many attractions in Melbourne too.

    The pool was under renovation, an email or notification before our stay would have been nice, so that we didn't avoid disappointment on arrival. Also, valet parking at pick up was a bit disorganised. One lift working for a busy weekend was a little annoying too.

    Bar area was lovely comfortable and spacious also loved the bathrooms had bath not shower only

    The lifts weren’t working properly and the pool area was closed - this only happened after we already booked and we weren’t notified. Was very disappointing as I specifically booked his hotel because it had a heated indoor pool

    Great location, hotel car park available, well priced family rooms

    Lifts were not working, took us half an hour to get out of the hotel on check out. Pool was also unavailable. Bar closes early on a Saturday night, a used room service tray in the hallway when we checked in was still there when we checked out. One of the pull out beds for the kids was extremely uncomfortable and the other was dangerous, looked like an old gaol bed with very sharp metal corners, not great with toddlers running around.

    Unbelievable. When we booked expecting to use swimming pool. Also the lifts were not working. Putting lots of stress on time management. Management never replied or commented after I messaged 2 times. Won't go there again

    Great location close to CBD and train station. Good breakfast. Eventually after a room change (due to some maintenance issues with uneven carpet and loose desk support posts), the new room was good size, clean and good view. Proximity to fire exits and what appear to be fire doors locking off parts of the quite long corridors between rooms looks to be a good safe approach.

    Better maintenance of room. Finish the construction works in the shopping arcade area.

    The location was very good. The room was a good size, comfortable and very ventilation/heating system worked well. The breakfasts were good but quite expensive. I don't know if there was a continental only option.

    The fact that the swimming pool was being repaired. One of the reasons I chose the hotel was because of the availability of a swimming pool. I did not receive any indication that it would not be available

    Great service, friendly staff and comfortable room.

    The only issue was when we arrived and tried to park for the Valet parking. Unfortunately all the parks at the front had been taken and when we called they must have been busy as no one answered for quite some time. We had to circle the block a few times (on Collins St this is a drama in itself) before someone answered the phone and cleared the space for us to park.

    Food from the restaurant was delicious

    Booked through booking.com and filtered for accommodation with an indoor pool and breakfast included, there was no mention of the pool being closed on booking.com or I would have stayed elsewhere with the kids. Also our hair dryer didn’t work, I purchased a bottle of wine via room service and didn’t have a bottle opener to open it and the pillows were massive or hard. Oh I also received a welcome message on the tv that called me a man!
