The only problem we had was that one of our dogs found some rat bait in the garden. It was inside a plastic container, but she is a very determined little thing and would probably have been able to chew through it if she’d had enough time! Luckily it happened while we were outside watching her.

We loved the location of this property and its stunning views over the water! Everything was super comfortable and we loved relaxing on the deck every day. My daughter especially enjoyed the hammock! The doggies loved exploring the large garden and going for walks on the beach.

Location, Location, Location! We have visited KI numerous times, this is by far the best place we have stayed. It’s worth it for the view alone, however the beds are ridiculously comfortable, the fire is amazing on a cool night and there is every amenity and appliance you could possibly need. The garden is fully enclosed for even the tiniest dogs. Have a walk around the block at dusk and see all the amazing wildlife and go early to the Fat Beagle cafe for a vanilla slice before they all sell out!!

The ocean view is brilliant, lovely to see sunrise and sunset from the rear balcony. We particularly enjoyed the wood fire on a couple of cold evenings.

Nothing, everything was perfect.

It’s VERY CLEAN and comfortable, close to the shops, beach and ferry dock. I absolutely appreciated the host prepared the wood fire for us. KI can be very windy and cold, but our stay was so cozy and warm. THANK YOU!

Everything! The owners/operators have done a wonderful job to provide a comfortable home and include it with everything a family needs for a stay. We loved the location, their promptness at communicating, their warmth in welcoming us to the property with a little gift over christmas made us feel so special.

Some holiday houses leave a few basic kitchen supplies like salt sugar oil vinegar etc and a note to replace if it runs out. This makes cooking a meal a lot simpler and cheaper.

The house met all our basic needs without being overdone with furnishings and decor. So it had the feeling of a beach holiday house.

Some features need to be upgraded eg window screens but not such a problem for us this time of year.

This accommodation gave us everything we needed. It was comfortable, in a great location and well stocked. We would definitely stay here again. We loved the wood fire.

The home had everything you could want for a weekend on Kangaroo Island. Close to the ferry, perfect for a late Friday night arrival. Back garden and deck overlooks the bay and the many dolphins swimming by. Beds were comfortable and the reverse cycle airconditioner took the chill off the air in the evening. Kangaroos, wallabies and what looked like potoroos came out at dusk and while we didn't see them, we could hear the little penguins calling at night. Nick, the owner was a pleasure to deal with. Highly recommend for a long weekend or even longer stay.

The steps down to yard are very slippery when wet. The lounges have very little "cushion" left and therefore are not that comfortable anymore.

You can't beat the view. It is certainly stunning. The kitchen was very well equipped and overall the house was very neat and clean. Beds were comfy as well. We loved the wood fire place it made the place very cosy.

As a safety issue felt the toilet door should open outwards rather than into toilet area. My husband is tall & well built and found it tight to enter toilet. Also had an experience were a family member fell in a toilet similar to this home and rescuers had trouble to gain access to victim.
