Beautiful surroundings and cozy room

What a gorgeous little gem! Mum and I just loved the hospitality and location of this sweet property. Brian and Tim could not have been more helpful sharing their local knowledge of how to spend each day in Daylesford and starting it with a delicious breakfast! The room was a relaxing haven which has been very well appointed with care to the smallest detail for their guests. A wonderful spot, both location and surroundings.

Absolutely loved this place! They had these adorable Alpacas outside and it was so quiet and relaxing. It was also super intimate as there are not a lot of people on the property - so we met another couple staying there.

Very little not to like! Very minor thing: the A/C could've been a bit stronger to warm up the room quicker as it was a very cold winter weekend when we were there.

Amazing hosts going above and beyond to make your stay as enjoyable as possible, including preparing an outstanding breakfast and proving daily recommendations based on what's happening around the area. The room was nice and cozy with a comfy bed and large bathroom with roomy spa bathtub.

Room was a bit small, but if you're going to spend most of your time exploring the area, not a big issue.

The vibe of the accommodation immediately felt warm and comforting. The room was pre-heated to a perfect temperature upon arrival, which we appreciated as we arrived on a cold winter day. Plenty of wildlife to safely view from a distance at the back of the property - 2 alpacas, ducks, cockatoos - just make sure to bring wet wipes if walking around on the grass/don't wear shoes inside, the grass is somewhat dirty. The accommodation is well located, close to the centre of Daylesford. The bathroom is massive too. The breakfast trifle and stewed fruit was great.

Loved Old Chilli, however I do find the current trend of some places/accom to just have one jar/dispenser of bath wash/ shampoo rather than lovely local small batch products for soap, shampoo, body wash to be not a good or ‘I feel special’ trend! I wouldn’t want to wash my hair with something so generic - particularly when away for a special weekend. . Unfortunately this was the case with old chilli, which was disappointing particularly given the price of the accom and the location and numerous ‘local’ brands that could have been sampled and enjoyed as small aromatic trials and of a decent quality.

The breakfast was great - who doesn’t love a good Bircher muesli and local breads. Location was close enough to everything. Loved the balcony to enjoy the winter sun with the newspaper or a good book. Brian was a great host with local insights and recommendations.

Everything was perfect, from the garden, the beautiful view from the cozy room, comfy bed to the supberb continental breakfast in a nicely decorated dining room. Brian was a friendly host who had great suggestions on where to visit to make the most out of our stay. One of the best B&B we had stayed for a short trip and would love to come back for more!

We couldn't fault our stay. Easy check in and beautiful, spacious room. We loved the access to the garden with lots to look at (including the alpacas!). Breakfast was a highlight - there was so much food and lots of variety. The hosts were lovely and provided lots of recommendations for things to do during our stay. Also, it was an easy walk in and out of Daylesford.

Loved my stay here. View from the bedroom was amazing, it was clean, close to centre and the breakfast was sensational. Will definitely be back.

Brian was great at recommending places to eat for dinner. Very friendly and helpful. I loved the peace and quiet. The gardens were very pretty. Breakfast was fabulous.

Breakfast is a spread of everything you need to start the day. We are early risers so an earlier time to partake would suit us better. But that’s just us!

Beautiful accommodation to stay in for our weekend away. Brian & Tim are wonderful hosts & so happy they share this peaceful space with others.

Great location! Such a beautiful view to wake up to in the morning. Breakfast exceeded expectations with a nice cosy fire to add to the ambience. So much love and thought was put into the food/preparation. Can’t wait to come back again! Thank you.

No more banana bread after the first morning. Could do with a microwave in the room.

Booked for Chill Out and it was perfectly situated only ten minutes walk from the closest bus stop and 15 minute walk to town. For breakfast the guys served banana bread the first morning and it was the highlight of the stay.
