The carpet in the bedroom could use a bit more cleaning. It was dusty when we arrived. Noise with the doors being slammed but this is probably because of the guests who don't know how to shut them quietly.

If you are looking for a great location during Mardi Gras, this is the perfect spot. Our room had its own balcony and you can also go to the rooftop if you want. If you want to get close to the parade, street level viewing is convenient too. Getting from/to the airport is easy, about 20 mins away by Uber. Close to Moore Park, Surry Hills, Darlinghurst.

The Hostel was still in the process of being opened. Some bathrooms were not available or only partly and a few things were missing (like paper towels in the bathroom, etc.). Also, on the pictures on the booking ad it looks like there is a cafe downstairs where you could sit and work, however that cafe was never open. When we arrived there was no night policy and there was no staff onsite during the night, so the partying just went on through the night. This was improved after mentioning it during the stay though!

The facilities that were open were beautifully designed. The private room even came with bathrobes. There was a great rooftop and common area. The staff (when they were there), were very friendly and tried to accommodate requests.

During my stay, the hostel was still under renovation, thus missing few things like a fan in the rooms or hangers. But the owners tried to fix it as soon as possible.

Family-owned, newly renovated and opened hostel. Very modern rooms with comfortable beds and a cozy common area. Bonus is the rooftop with a fantastic view on Sydney. Staff/ owners are super friendly and always up for a chat. Highly recommend it and would stay there again.

Considering the price, I expected better bathroom and rooms such as cell phone charging points, fan (summer), mirror, shelves to put things in the bathroom, shampoo and soap available.

I’ve spent a lot of time in hostels in different countries and australia but I really loved this one! The location is ideal for seeing the beaches and the city and there’s some fun events on. It’s new and clean and the staff are helpful :)

There are supposed to be 3 more shower rooms, but most of the females' bathrooms were blocked during my stay. Another thing, there are some outlets in the room, which was great. I was disappointed it, a lady who was one of my roommates in the room, hogging all the outlets by charging both her phone and laptop, leaving no free sockets for anyone else.

I really appreciated the hostel’s security system. Using electronic keys for access made me feel much safer during my stay, and it was reassuring to know that only authorized guests could enter.

The hostel is truly a great place to start one's journey in Sydney. Well located, with supermarkets nearby and lots of very green parks. Also nice breakfast, good coffee, toasts, and some fruit (bananas and apples). The staff is very kind and helpful :)

As its a fairly new place, renos are still being done. so it meant some bathroom facilitates not available. The building is a old heritage so was loud and you can hear everything. i slept with earplugs. which helped a tad

Poor hygiene and bad service. They charged us $10 for towels but never gave them to us, nor did they refund the money. There was no one at reception to make complaints. There was no breakfast either. I do not recommend it.

The bathrooms were not clean and need a shelf to put your stuff. The room was also quite hot and the pillow was average. For the great price however, I could put up with this.

This hostel has a gorgeous boutique vibe, with fresh renovations- well considered and stylish. The bed was clean, mattress comfortable and the breakfast was a great bonus.

Still under renovation which was a bit annoying. Also a lot of people working and living there so harder to make friends as a solo traveler. Also not many hostel events on.

Despite the fans in the dorms, the rooms were very hot, so air con needs to be installed ideally. The kitchen space is not big enough, people are queuing for the sink and there are only 3 hobs for cooking. The kitchen was also dirty and cluttered most of the time, rules around people cleaning up after themselves needs to be more enforced. There is also not enough seating space, I had to sit on the floor to eat several times which wasn’t a nice experience. Also, having one sink in the female toilets on the 1st floor is not enough, again it means there’s a queue to use it. Lastly if you could get laundry facilities installed in the property that would be a major improvement as this is a pretty essential part of staying at a hostel.

Good location, close to the CBD. Lovely and communicative staff who helped with any queries I had.

The kitchen is very poorly organised, we understand that it has just opened and has a lot of improvements to make. There were several days that we could not eat because there was no space to sit because it was raining outside or because the cooking utensils were not clean. They should do a better job of checking the cleanliness of the kitchen as it was the only serious fault we saw in the hostel.

The staff was very friendly, the women's bathroom was fine and the men's bathroom had no shower door.

I understand that this Hostel is currently going through major renovations. But being in a hot room with no fans, and no window screens which allows bloodsucking mosquitos to feast at you at all hours of the night isn't very comforting. At times, I thought about sleeping in the common area on top floor because there's always a good breeze with cool air coming in.

The staff was friendly and very helpful. Front Desk Worker Michael was very personable, and greeted every Guest that walks through the entrance. He offered recommendations of places to see and eat. Overall, Michael embodies the 'Australian Hospitality' and deserves to get recognition for his great customer service. Also, this place is in a great location to everything from restaurants to bars.
