    It was a lovely place to stay, my grandkids loved the pool, which was the reason for the hire.

    A broom would be handy, as you want people to clean up. Also an absorbent mat at the back door, ?bath mat even. The vacuum was useless. The garden could do with some attention too.

    There was plenty of room for everyone. The kids loved the pool. Plenty of crockery and pots, but short on the cutlery. Bathrooms were clean and tidy, water pressure good too.

    Pool hadn't been cleaned and was a bit green but they had it cleaned quickly.

    Home was well stocked and had a good layout.

    I have rented many holiday homes and this is the first ever negative review I have posted. Arrived to find the pool was cold (18 degrees). Contacted agent by phone, received a text reply stating she not available at 3pm on a Friday. Gas heating of pool was the only reason this home booked. Agent asked me to send proof that home was advertised with heated pool and then later suggested it was my fault heater was not working even though information provided states that it takes two days for pool to warm up. I was later told the pool is 'set' to 26 degrees. No one attended property to address the issue throughout our stay. An incessant beeping noise was coming from an outdoor heater. Issue was not responded to until next day (again by text). Despite noise disappearing the next morning, it began again on the second evening of the stay. Upon arrival, I requested access to side gate to allow for wheeling in of bikes. I was told to wheel them in through the house even though key was available in a lock box. I provided numerous photos and videos of defects and was promised a refund for lack of pool heating- agent only paid back $450 from a $1400 rental charge for a two night stay and tried to claim that this represented a 50% refund. Agent needs to be more responsive given the nature of their work, and less dismissive of genuine concerns. Cue the dismissive reply.
