Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaThe cable weight machine was nice but could use some maintenance. The bar attachment doesn’t engage properly on the right side (pin is set wrong) and the pulleys need a bit of grease.
The location next to the river was beautiful and it was really peaceful. The room size was excellent and we loved the shower. The mini bar items were great, loved the Tassie theme!

AustraliaPeppers is described as a 5 star but when compared to others around Australia I would say closer to 4.5. Just little things though like the quality of the toilet paper which was not very nice, thin one sheet stuff that I would expect at a public toilet. We had forgotten our toothpaste and some five star hotels there would be at least a small toothpast and toothbrush to tide you over for a day but nothing of the sort provided. I should have asked at the front desk though as I am sure they would have been helpful. No pillow menu which you do find in some 5 star hotels but there were at least two very comfortable pillows each. Breakfast was delicious but the first day the eggs benedict eggs were slightly undercooked with egg white clear in the middle. Rest of the days the eggs were cooked to perfection or overcooked. Just little things but consistency would be a comfort.
Breakfast had a great selectio, including gluten free and was delicious. We were a little disappointed that there was no buffet breakfast but the choice made up for it. Desserts were amazing and had a choice of gluten free which I needed as a coeliac. Everything was spotlessly clean and the room layout was well done. Bathroom had beautiful tiles and spacious. Bed was bigger than a King size and super soft which was comfortable for the 6 nights we were there. Hand and body wash, shampoo and conditioner provided were very beautiful and luxurious. Fantastic location close to everything in Launceston. Easy to find and we paid a little extra for the undercover secure parking which was worth it for the peace of mind. Check out is a standard 11am which is a better time and we didn't feel rushed when it was our time to leave. Staff were all very friendly and polite.

AustraliaWe had breakfast included, breakfast options were very limited, one main, one side, one drink. Buffet style breakfast would have been preferred, its usual at most hotels to have a comprehensive breakfast with many options that are interchangeable not a set menu, not happy with the breakfast at all.

AustraliaThe restaurant/cafe seemed a little confusing as they are both next to each other and all pricing is the same yet some menu items were unavailable in one part and not in the other. The person who took our order did a great job getting us something from the cafe.
I liked how the rooms were large and the uniqueness of it as an old silo. They also had many old photos on the walls on the corridors to paint the picture and the history of the place.

AustraliaWe were disappointed with breakfast at the Grain restaurant. I sent the three grain porridge back. It was inedible due to the grain being raw.
We loved the lounge downstairs. Our room was so spacious with a lovely view.
