Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Mermaids in tuxedoes serving cocktails would have completed the overall experience.
The apartment was exquisitely beautifully appointed. Everything about my stay there was charming. As well as this, it is a short drive to the foreshore and some excellent restaurants along the esplanade. Perfect for the solo traveller or a romantic couple.

That I had no reason to stay longer.
The unit was extremely quiet, well setup, clean & spacious haven. There were numerous extras such as breakfast items such as cereals, eggs, bread with butter & spreads, fruit, bottled water & chocolates along with tea & coffee making items.

The bed was comfortable but a bit too high for short legs.
Very welcoming and friendly host. Loved the decor and furniture. All very clean and comfortable. Great breakfast choices of fresh eggs from the chickens in the backyard. Bread and starter butter. Various small jam sachets and biscuits. Chocs, 2 bottled waters and a bottle of rose wine for our anniversary. Nice to have a coffee machine. Lots of tea and coffee sachets. Soft towels and washers. Great shower with a perfect temperature setting. Air con and fan in lounge and a fan in the bedroom. 3/4 length mirror in the bedroom. Good WIFI connection. Great oven and microwave. Parking space on premises with private entrance. Thanks for everything Michael!

Loved the private entrance to the accommodation, upon entry I very much enjoyed the beautiful decor, well thought out design of the place. The place is super clean and has quality facilities, ot is so elegant. The bedroom was beautifully appointed, decorated and very calming. I living area was so relaxing to sit in.

Beautifully decorated, with a comforting feel the moment you walked in. Quiet, peaceful. Great location and a bonus off street park right in front of the unit. Fantastic breakfast basket set up with everything you need to start the day.

Nothing! Limited space in the bedroom for an open case but plenty of room elsewhere.
Everything!! This was a little pot of gold at the end of a Rainbow. Beautifully furnished, all the comforts from home and so many little extras. Clean, parking on the drive, outdoor space, very well equipped kitchen.

The design and interior fit-out was of the highest quality, reflecting the professional input by the owner. Throughout our stay we continued to find little surprises and clues that the owner knew what we might need to make us feel at home. High quality restoration following flood damage in 2022 (from exceptional downpour).

Our stay at Rainbows End was exceptional really. The unit was extremely well decorated, clean and tidy. All the little extras were there including fresh eggs for breakfast, bananas and chocolates. We were very satisfied with our stay.

I love white noise while I sleep so a ceiling fan would have been excellent- but honestly that’s scraping for feedback - I slept so well in that bed :-)
The property was CLEAN, tidy and had all the bits and pieces to make the stay extra comfy. The sheets and towels smelt lovely - they reminded me of home 😊 the bottleo, food and coffee is only 50m away! All were utilized.
