Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaSmell in the room and some damage to parts of the room from them being older but that’s fine. Staff came up and helped manage the smell in the room.
This place was good, the beds were so big and comfy, it was big, clean (other than a weird smell in our room but we knew it was because of being near the ocean and staff came to help sort it), there was a spa bath, facilities were good, great pool area. Fantastic location.

AustraliaPlace needs some TLC and basic maintenance. Things are worn out and need updating. General cleanliness of facilities and rooms needs to improve ie cobwebs, dead bugs (ceiling in bathroom in our room covered in dead bugs). Worn cabinetry, worn light switches (causing lights to flicker intermittently).
Plenty of space, fully self contained rooms great for families. Great pool.

AustraliaCan’t fault it
The staff on checkin were amazing. The 2 bedroom roof top apartment was great. We invited some friends for a bbq and it was perfect for that. The kids love the pool. Restaurant was expensive but there are plenty of options around.

United StatesThe mattresses were so bad we could feel the springs. I also did not like the creepy shower shows whenever someone takes a shower it's behind a frosted piece of glass so do not share a room with anyone if you don't want to watch them take a shower. Bring an eye mask.
We rented 3 rooms in total. 2 hotel style rooms and one 1 bedroom with a kitchen in it. The pools, room service, and bar were all great. Location was good for exploring little shops and restaurants nearby. It was quiet and a beautiful tropical setting. It was apparent when we checked in that 2 of them were likely owned by the same person because of decor etc. The 3rd room was decorated a bit odd and smelled a tad musty.

AustraliaParents not controlling their children in the LAP pool - running, jumping, splashing, screaming. Kids just want to have fun but so do other paying guests. Children should have kept to kids pool or general pool.

AustraliaThe quality of the cocktails from the pool bar were inconsistent - the ones during happy hour never seemed to be as good for some reason. The restaurant was closed on 2 of the nights we were there - luckily room service was still available. We cooked one of the nights we were there and found that the kitchen lacked a number of things we needed (oven mitts, a wooden spoon to stir things in the frypan, scissors).
The quality of the apartment exceeded our expectations and was extremely spacious and everything had been cleaned very thoroughly before we arrived (including the roof terrace). The roof top terrace was awesome and had a BBQ, sink, fridge, sun lounges - a lot more than just the spa we were expecting. The staff were very helpful and accommodating but overall there seemed to be a shortage of staff. The pool was great and the water lovely and warm and we always seemed to be able to get sun lounges. Extra pool towels were freely available from reception. The resort was only a short walk into the main part of Palm Cove. The resort was very relaxed and family friendly.

AustraliaRooms are a bit dated now- bathroom has a shower over bath and fairly dated fittings and fixtures. At this price point you tend to exoect a more modern room and fittings. Outdoor corridors allow for a lot of noise when people or screaming kids pass by the door to get to the lifts. Room 226 was a noisy spot right near the elevator with the bedroom next to the corridor. There are almost no vegan options in the restaurant and on room.service menu. Had there been more options we would have eaten at the resort much more often but ended up almost purchasing nothing except a few drinks and very basic snacks like hot chips. In 2024 I'd expect more options for dietary choices at a resort at this price point Having stayed before we knew most of these things but to be honest the price now days makes us think about looking elsewhere
Room size of the one bedrooms was great Pool etc great and not too crowded, managed to usually find seats / loungers.

AustraliaI was surprised with how dated the room was. Given the price we were paying, I was expecting a lot more. The studio rooms are pretty basic. We will stay somewhere on the esplanade next time. The breakfast is missing an à la carte menu. The staff were helpful with accommodating me due to not being able to eat from a buffet due to pregnancy but there were limited options and so we went elsewhere for the rest of our stay. The rooms are not well-insulated against sound. You can hear everyone out in the halls from your room.
We liked how close it was to town. Everywhere we needed to go was a comfortable walking distance. The staff are all great and very friendly.

Australia- Only the flagship restaurant was open for dinner. The food was great, but expensive and with a limited menu, and not something that we wanted to eat every night. Some everyday food was also available from the Lagoon Bar, but only until 5:30pm. Later in the stay, this end time was changed to even earlier at 5:00pm. Five star properties should offer a broader range of eating options. - The property seemed tired and in need of some maintenance and refurbishment. - Our room was just above the main restaurant. The view was marred by the restaurant roof. We had to keep the balcony door closed in the evening to reduce the noise - The internet was unreliable in the evening, and effectively stopped on Saturday and Sunday night.

Australia1.4% credit surcharge on several thousand dollars is inexcusable and greedy. How do you substantiate this? Maintenance man left his shift when his repair of our door lock was incomplete. Thankfully the reception staff member left the front desk to reprogram the lock and provide us new keys

AustraliaThe buffet breakfast was poor. Lacked variety and the needing to order eggs before sitting down was unique. For a 5 star resort expect a cook to be able take egg/omelette orders. Recreational room was messy.....gaming console didn't work.
