Our room wasn't cleaned properly. There was a cooked chicken in the fridge from the previous guests. Also, I needed to use the microwave and it wasn't turned on. We had to pull it off the shelf to put it in and turn it on which wasn't easy. It was pretty dusty on top.

Have stayed there before and location is good and rooms are nice, though some things look a little tired like the bathroom.

Unfortunately for us we were badly bitten by sandflies from the nearby mangroves and needed anti-histamines when topical creams failed to relieve the itch. We're not fans of the rain-shower style showers, prefer handheld.

We appreciated the lovely breakfast buffet featuring yogurt with blueberries and a variety of fresh fruit. The coffee maker was a delight for lattes and there was an assortment of teas. Croissants, toast, cereals and more. Many people ate indoors but we preferred either outdoors near the pool or on the deck. It was a pleasure to walk along the palm-lined path to the dining area every morning. There are meals available Tuesday through Saturday nights. We enjoyed calamari and chips, beef tacos and chicken schnitzel burgers. The room featured a king bed with an amazing mattress, two bunks which we didn't use and a table with four chairs so very handy. The bar fridge was adequate, the usual cutlery and plates, and microwave. Air con helped from time to time. Housekeeping was wonderful, providing daily anything we needed. There are two pools, one for children and another deeper one for adults. In winter it was mid-20s and the water was cool so we enjoyed a couple of dips. Pool towels were available at reception. Before we had a rented wheeler, they even found a wheelchair to help with mobility! Lots of tourist brochures on display.

Bathroom was dirty. It needed a good scrub. In particular the floor tiles & shower. Shower had mould & needed new grout & tiles were dirty. If a good scrub doesn’t work then they need to redo the bathroom because the rest of the room looked updated but the bathroom was not. Resort was probably fabulous in its hey day but now it needs major maintenance & upkeep. Everything is looking worn out. For 1 or 2 night stay it’s fine.

Location was good & you have access to walking paths on the water. Off street parking which is great. Accommodation was quiet & comfortable. Motel room was updated & spacious for 2A & 1C. Complimentary breakfast was great.

Trying to figure how to turn the halgon down lights off. The shutters did not close up completely to block out the light. Was quite bright in the room at night.

Having breakfast as part of the room costs suited us very well. The breakfast was just what we needed each day - nothing too heavy but a good variety.

The pool to be slightly heated, bbq area to have lighting, walkways needed attention to make them safer for walking , the bed needs replacing, so soft we had to roll out of it., Lacked adequate parking.

The shower had quite a bit of mold. I know it is difficult to keep mold under control in warmer, humid climates, but this one needed a good scrub.

The pool at Seahaven is great - great surroundings. The location is a little away from the centre of Townsville, but on a quick and well served bus line. The included breakfast was good. Having a laundry on site was a bonus.

At the beginning, the property gave us a family room with bunk bed which we complained. So they sorted it out and moved us.
