Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

No problems at all!
I don’t usually stay in accommodation with shared facilities but they were very clean newly renovated bathrooms and simple, clean and comfortable rooms.

The window in room 8 rattled which was disruptive. Needs a repair to quieten it. But this is an old building for a good rate and the rooms were otherwise decent. Showers take a very long time to warm up. I thought there was just no cold water. But it just needed a good 5 mins at least to get warm.
Easy check in. Just read email and go to your room. No check in required with a person. Room 7 a good size for me as I repacked all my gear.

The noise from downstairs. No tea and coffee amenities
So clean!!! Unfortunately the music from downstairs was soooo loud until around 1 am, and I was up at 5am to leave, so only 4 hours sleep. Next time I'll bring ear plugs! It would also be wonderful to have a kettle with tea and coffee available in the rooms. Other than that it was great!

Small things that werent perfect. Sound of crosswalk outside as its on a main rd. Also cleaners vacuuming in the morning when I may have preferred to sleep in, I would also have liked a stronger reading light on the bedside table.
Many great things here, location, cleanliness, comfort- heating/ cooling. Lovely room and I liked the public patio with blankets to warm you in the cooler months. While bathrooms and showers were shared they were very clean and renovated.

I would have loved to have been able to make a cup of tea or coffee, as a early riser , I just got up and left around 6am as I was dying for a cuppa

Older period style accommodation which was totally in keeping with its era. No tea or coffee making facilities, no TV

A Pub in a country town with great atmosphere and friendly staff, a shared bathroom for women & seperate for men, plenty of towels, air conditioning, rack for hanging clothes, stairs access & staff assisted with carrying suitcases, very comfortable bed & bedding,centrally located and great coffee shop nearby for breakfast TV in bar but not in room but didn’t miss it as WiFi available.
Very friendly staff always helpful and the chef meals were exceptional

The stairs up to the rooms. I had stock that I didn’t want to leave in car & the stairs were a challenge.

The lights on the balcony made the room very light for sleeping.
The location in Kyneton is perfect for 1 night. Wonderful friendly staff, good meal in the bistro. Clean shared bathrooms.

It was a bit far from the station, but it was a nice walk to and from the hotel.
The property was always clean, I never saw a single bug, and the toilets were wonderful.

The welcome email was sent at 9.30 on our day of travel so I didn't read it. We therefore didn't realize we had been supplied with the entry code and our room numbers. There seemed a bit of confusion checking in, but the staff were very helpful in sorting it out and showed us to our rooms. The stairs are very steep. It would be impossible for less able bodied people.... Not sure about "communal" bathrooms already marked Gentlemen and Ladies.... Tried 3 bedside lamps before one worked.... The sensor lights were great The shower door was very ineffective, water poured on to the floor. In a peak time one bath mat would have been hopelessly inadequate.
The beds were very comfy. It was lovely and quiet. The linen was very nice and fluffy. The bathrooms were spotless and the decor was cool. The restaurant was very nice. The menu was very varied and the food was well received. The location was perfect.

The stairs were hard work for an older person especially if carrying a suitcase. Would have liked a fridge and kettle.
Very comfortable bed, big room (room 3) loved the big balconies in the late afternoon sunshine with comfortable seating and tables. The lamb cutlets and steak from the restaurant were outstanding. Would stay there again.
